On another note, I look like a criminal in my pic LOL and I mostly take thee worst picture. Was really hoping they'd use the other passport photo. Go figure!!

But it just wouldn't be right if a government-issued photo document wasn't mugshot-worthy!

Any Boston filers out there? Just wondering how long interviews are taking to get scheduled at the Boston field office once you get the "ready to schedule interview" update.

Thanks in advance!

You can check the processing times for the 485 for your field office on the USCIS website.  Scroll down to "family-based" for the date range.

You're definitely right there! I think we both feel better when we don't check either, but for some reason the wait seems even tougher the closer you get to probably hearing something. 😂

That does sound like a good way to keep busy! He loves Ebay, and we have lots of junk to get rid of, so that's probably a good idea for us too, haha. We live in Nashville, and everything is super spread out here (especially in the neighborhood we live in). It's tough to get around without a car, but he's taken to getting Lyfts places, and has actually started going to a course across town about starting a small business (he's a painter and photographer). I think that's been helping as well.

We've also found a couple of surprisingly good "British" pubs in Nashville, so if it all gets to be too much we can drown our sorrows with pints of Old Speckled Hen and Fullers! :jest:

I agree, I wasn’t freaking out at all until this month!

Posting things on EBay also takes ages so it’s a good, productive time killer and when you sell something it feels so good haha.

That sounds like like a great use of his time. We moved from downtown out to the suburbs where I can’t walk to anything, probably not the best idea in hindsight but I’m getting used to it.

Ahhh British pubs and beer, how I miss it! I’ll have to get your recommendations next time we head there!

Hope you guys had a lovey relaxing weekend not worrying about visa stuff.

It’s coming, I know it!

Feel for you both. Day 168 for me and I’m just beyond over it. I’m in my deepest slump right now.

I’m with you on that. I honestly think it’s worse now that we’re expecting it any day. At least a couple of months ago we could put it to the back of our minds knowing it wasn’t going to be for a while. I know I should be grateful to be further along this process than those who filed after us but GOD i just want to work already and get some kind of life back!

Yup I just want my freedom. I feel trapped almost. The fact I’m not allowed to drive is the worst part for me. We live in a very “out of the way” area, and there’s no public transport. So I’m stuck unless my husband is free. But then that’s just a hassle for him. And tbh I like / want / sometimes need to do stuff by myself. 😕

Only at 159, so it feels a little better so see others in the same boat; I wish visa journey hadn't told me it was likely by the end of march though. Do we know what throws off those averages so much? Are there people who get their EAD/AP super quickly?

I don’t know. I wonder if once we all get ours and update our timeline...will we affect the estimates and they’ll change for everyone else waiting? It almost seems like the estimates were correct and suddenly there was a halt.

I’m not entirely sure. The averages are thrown off by people not updating their timelines, also can’t forget that there are also others undergoing this process who are not on visajourney (probably over half!). As for those who get EAD/AP early.. no clue 😕 especially while others back in September and October are still waiting.

VJ members are only a tiny fraction of all filers so not an accurate representation of the whole picture.
