Not yet. A few pages back my husband mentioned he scheduled an infopass and met with immigration officers and talked to them about a lot of stuff. They said that he was still in background checks for EAD/AP and he should have a green card by mid-May. But here we are in mid-April and based on trends, interviews come a month after the "interview scheduled" hardcopy arrives and green cards arrive about a week after that. I'm still taking their analysis of his case with a grain of salt.

They were also pretty confused about his BC, but came to the conclusion someone lost it. It could be that some newbie ended up dropping a paper while scanning your file and here we are 5 months later and the person reviewing it doesn't know it was sent in the first place.

That’s so unbelievably annoying, good that you’re taking it with a grain of salt though. Better than getting hopes up and for them to let you down.

As for the newbie thing, I’ve no doubt that’s what happened honestly. I know for a fact myself and my husband sent all of the appropriate paperwork for AOS, took me many months to prepare. So someone, somewhere, has lost something

They have lost something the majority of us are loading our packets either way with documents that are not even required. The majority of the time the lose in their warehouses. Look a these pics straight out of their website. This is like straight old school paper based bureaucracy. Where I stand from you got an RFE they noticed something you send it in and you are ok. It is better than being lost for months and wondering why its been 24 months and you are still waiting. Frustrating but better.

Btw I can't help to notice the box at the bottom that says status stuff ahahahah OMG

Oh my god how mind blowing.. Never saw pics like these before 😩 and you are right! I just fully expected to get notice on my EAD/AP and then 160 days get a RFIE.. 🤯 usually that’s early stages?!

I’m so *\+]+*{]++] off right now... just got an email & a text from USCIS, got real excited, check the case tracker app “request for initial evidence has been mailed” for AOS.. WHAT? 160 days after I filed?! WHAAAAATTT? Ummmmm????????

I wanted to ask regarding this (if anyone knows) If RFIE for AOS will effect the potential for EAD/AP approval before evidence is sent? I know they’re all separate cases with different MSC numbers but I’m confused because I sent them all at once

Okay maybe its my mistake to submit a request at early time

No mistake! 👍 We all have to be our own advocate. We don’t know anyone situations and can’t judge. There’s literally no need for such hostility so I’m sorry for what others have said if they’ve upset you. Most of US are here to support and uplift each other through this journey. 🙋🏻‍♀️  I respect your choice to call and ask about your case and I hope you hear some good new soon! 🌻 Sending everyone still waiting lots of positive vibes and prayers.

I think there may have been some misunderstandings here and I'm not defending anyone but right now - calling is not the issue I believe. I believe this is about submitting a case inquiry through the USCIS website, which currently should only be done by those whose processing times are now considered to be 'Out of Processing Times' - which at the moment on the USCIS website is showing 20th Sept 2018 as the date. I believe what others have been trying to say, is that it's not fair that someone who has been waiting from September and is awaiting a response to their case inquiry, is then delayed on getting an answer to their inquiry, because other people who are 'within' the processing times are making inquiries, when it's not really their turn to do so?

Everyone here is trying to support each other - and I don't think anyone meant any harm with their words, just trying to make people aware and be sensitive of what they are typing as there are numerous people who have been waiting 200+ days for their EAD/AP with no response and are still being told to wait a further 30 days. You have to imagine the upset and frustration for the people who are still waiting - if you're getting upset at like day 100-120-150, please please think what it is like for those who have been waiting for even longer than that.

they did the same for us. Dont know why, but we just quickly sent in whatever they wanted then got our interview a few months later. I think I sent in a notorized copy of my passport ( i think, it was so long ago)

i felt this, because during our interview the agent asked me for my passport, and i said it should be in my file. She didnt want to admit they lost it, and I didnt bring it to the interview so they held up our approval since they didnt have all the docs. They called my husband and had him bring up my birth certificate AND my passport pics... 2 months later they approved us. I really do think they just hold off for whatever reason....

we sent our all at once, and replied quickly (sent with express mail). EAD came first in January, then interview appointment in February, then approval in April. We sent in our Adjustment in August. We used the timelines and estimated waits for city we filed in to get an idea of how long the wait was.
