I am still salty about this, and will remain salty until our case goes from 'RFIE was received' to 'Interview scheduled'

Heck yeah! I've been wondering about it for a couple of months now and I think it would be a lot of fun! We could share our tales of woe in waiting and how much weight we all gained (except somehow I've lost 20lbs lol?) and laugh at how horrific the process was 😂. @rrobin0609 and I think it'd probably be worth really considering whenever we have a legit house in the future since we're in the midwest, it'd be a relatively balanced travel distance for y'all if we hosted.

We're totally in! 🙌

And I'll take the chance to report that there's absolutely nothing to report on this side. :P

So I just got off the phone with a Tier 2 officer. I was thrown off by how genuinely kind and calming this man was....dammit I was prepared to get mad and yell at someone! 😉 He told me exactly what I expected to hear anyway - that there is nothing wrong with our application and wait times are now 5-7 months. He actually apologized profusely for these processing times, and told me they simply don't have the manpower available to process the many many applications they currently have. What could I say? He told me to expect another 30-45 days max (I said, "okay....woof"), then apologized again and told me he knows how important this is to us. I said thank you, he wished me a good weekend, and that was that.

It makes me mad that I don't have a logical reason to be mad about that response <_< I'm sure the employees are working hard. I know that. But this wait is horrific, and I'm only at day 140 - there are so many people waiting much longer!

Awww that’s sounds like a nice idea. I’m game with that idea. I’ve been thinking about the same thing for weeks now, how it would be nice to meet everyone.

I guess I'm just tired of people questioning why I'm here. I've had multiple people ask me if I'm just here for the green card,

LOL.....from Holland?  That's as funny as someone from NZ coming here for a GC.  I guess the notion that some people downgrade their quality of life when immigrating to the USA is foreign to some.   Have your inlaws ever travelled?  It can be humbling for Americans to travel....gives a sense of perspective.

I had someone who asked me if I was from the USA today - when I said I was from the UK you should have seen the look she gave. It was like I'd told her I was secretly a crocodile who wanted to join the circus or something. The horror.

This made me LOL. I’m so proud to be British and I’ll always classify myself as so. She’s maybe jealous 😉

Or maybe she’s so annoyed with Brexit! :P

She didn't seem like she knew anything about the world outside of Florida

You should have told her that you came over on the Mayflower and have been in a cryogenic state for the past 399 years.

Toodaloos.

Yeah I applied for both EAD/AP. I only got update on old app for EAD, no update on AP (but I think that's normal). No updates on new site yet.

I never had an update on the ap but when i got the ead card it says advance parole on the bottom.
