My VJ timeline has nearly expired LOL!! Oh darn. I'm more excited for hitting 140 tomorrow!! Not giving up. Though, I would like to see a more updated USCIS historical processing. However, it contains errors: https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/historic-pt - again pointing our the 'high standard' of these guys :P

I really admire how strong you are. You have such an inspiring spirit. Hope you get an update soon.

Congrats! Our dates are nearly the same! I’m sitting day dreaming with wishful thinkful but sure it’s so nice to see others getting approved 😊

Thanks! Still a bit to go.

It was interesting as I really wanted to do the CR-1 (to avoid all this) in the first place but my husband persuaded me after having long debate to do the K1. I should have stuck my foot down more but it is what it is now :P

We tried that also but things didn't work for us and we had to go with the k1. Such a frustrating journey with K1. But sooner or later we will be free from that frustration.

All jokes aside, and now that @jakejon brought up the statistics, my guess is that these delays, especially with November, are a matter of mismatched definitions and quota.

So, and I'm speculating, the USCIS year might be different from the one they report to DHS, and in order to reach the quota for each month/fiscal year, they go through just the "important" ones, and November is not one of them, as it is in limbo, for the year for DHS might be the one that goes from December to September.

Or, as @RambaCat said, it was that clumsy intern we're to blame. :P

Either case, it is all a mess.

I think it was just errors on their site for sure! I don't think there's a quota per se. There's no logic to how they process but it is the USCIS that process the EAD/AP.

I'd be broken if I was a September filer still waiting and seeing approvals from all months after. I really do feel for them guys as even when you submit an inquiry you still have to wait 30 days. Even at that there's no absolute guarantee you'll hear within 30 days as some have already experienced.

Considering it took them nearly four months to process my request for a new NOA1....yeah. Address changes are much quicker, but I imagine a request for information gets shoved off to the side too.

ROC Timeline:

Date format is MM/DD/YY

05/16/19 - Green Card Issue Date

03/10/21 - Sent ROC paperwork to Phoenix, AZ | USPS 2-Day Shipping

04/07/21 - NOA1 Text Messages Received

Not sure where exactly, but more than once, members of the forum have mentioned the quota. Like the agents must cover just a certain percentage each month to move on to the next. Those members who've shared it, seemed pretty confident about the statements, so I believed them. :P And it actually made sense.

Btw, my answer was way better than this one, but the site froze and I lost it. Was too lazy to type it again. Lol

I'd bet money that they have certain quotas. Logically, someone who's been processing cases for a year or two knows what to look for vs someone who has been doing it for a month. I don't think it would be reasonable to think that Jan the intern who has been working at the NBC for two months should be able to process 20 cases a day like Jim who has been adjudicating cases since 1984. I'm sure that after a year of doing this work they hate themselves and find something thats a better fit for them. If you're constantly having to train new people, there is going to be some sort of trade off in both quality and speed for a short time.
