Interviews could be waived, but not long ago, they became mandatory for all K1's going through AOS.

From what I've read, it was better to get an interview back in the day, as those who didn't, waited even more.

Thanks for the info. Wish it was the same as before so we don't worry much like we are now. 😊

😂😂 All I fit into now are stretchy yoga pants!! No Cheetos stains so I'll count that as a win!

We got the standard security stuff questions. He also asked my husband the name of my parents (he forgot my mom's name lol), my birthday, how many times I've been married.. asked us when we met for the first time, asked me where my husband was born and his birthday. He seemed confused about my ESTA, he didn't know what it was. On my old i-94 my submitted class was WT which is esta/waiver for tourists (tbf I didn't know what WT was either and googled it when we left the building) and he grilled me on that for a bit because I said I only ever had an esta and K1 visa and he didn't seem familiar with WT. I have no clue whether he was playing dumb or not haha, after he kept asking me about it he suddenly said "well don't worry about it".

He didn't take our city hall ceremony pictures, said they weren't helpful. 😂 He told us to have another wedding ceremony before removal of conditions, and to have more stuff like my name on the mortgage, car insurance, etc. After he said he is going to recommend us for approval he quickly stated we're not out of the woods yet and I can still be deported when removal of conditions comes around. I think he was trying to scare us? He said they have a tip line so our neighbors could call them if they think we're frauds, we might get a random home visit to see if we're legit, etc etc. I could even be a lesbian! Apparently it has happened before. 😂

The only documents he asked for was my EAD, SSN, interview notice and ceremony pictures.  He took copies of everything but our useless city hall ceremony pictures 😂 he didn't ask for other proof but we handed him a copy of our joint bank account and a recology letter addressed to both of us.

I'm just happy we got recommended for approval and I hope it goes through soon haha. I had no clue where that interview was gonna go, he was pretty stern. As soon as we left the office he was very friendly though.

After seeing my enormous file on his desk I understand the huge backlog they have. It even contained the old envelopes we sent our forms in!

I had never heard about pay to expedited a AP. Do you have more information about it? If you do, do you mind shared it?

Ready to schedule an interview means they're in queue, but no appointment scheduled yet. The status we're all waiting for is "Interview has been scheduled".

Well.... I am waiting to getting ready to be schedule for interview. But nothing has happened yet.

My VJ timeline has nearly expired LOL!! Oh darn. I'm more excited for hitting 140 tomorrow!! Not giving up. Though, I would like to see a more updated USCIS historical processing. However, it contains errors: https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/historic-pt - again pointing our the 'high standard' of these guys :P

So according to them a fiscal year runs from December - September. That's incorrect: (1) That's not even a year and (2) The USCIS fiscal year runs from Oct 1-Sept 30.

On another note, their table says it's date up until Dec 31st 2018, yet above in their paragraph they say it's data up until Oct 31st 2018.

Makes you wonder and suggest why they can't process months correctly in order :P

Maybe they don't know the order of the months! 😲

That explains EVERYTHING.
