So job related, I need advice....

I completed Teacher Training (TT) back in 2012 to teach Food Tech/Home Ec (High School). The TT was great and I started a job in a Special School but decided to leave teaching as I didn't feel ready as I felt too young back then. I also realized I should have chosen to teach elementary vs. high school. I was thinking of looking into jobs like being a classroom assistant to get reconnected with the classroom as I feel so out of touch. I wander if with me hitting 30 this year I should give it ago again here?...

If you're feeling like you want to give it a shot, then why not? I say go for it! An assistant's position would be a great place to start!

And power to you for being involved with kids; it's one of the hardest jobs from what I understand, but very rewarding too! ❤️

Congratulations! Next you’ll get another update with tracking number so you can track it.

Thank you ❤️ I wasn't sure what the next step was, so that's actually really useful to know ❤️

I'm still shaking 😂

You should try it, i have a friend who is a special ed teacher in NY and she has a teaching assistant with her. So you can try with that at first and see how you feel about it before you transition to being a full time teacher.

I know how you feel! Yeah, I got too excited when I got that update and patiently waited for the card to come, but what I got was another I-797 making it official that my EAD/AP got approved. Then an update with the tracking number and then another one once you get your card, just letting you know that according to the USPS your card has been delivered, I guess to insure that you are aware it’s been delivered Incase you still haven’t gotten it.

I should be getting two I-797s too; my service request from December updated yesterday to say they'd send me a replacement copy of the NOA1, so lots of mail to be expected over the next few weeks!

Oh, I should add that I didn't get any notifications - I just randomly signed in to the old website as is my ritual and noticed that the last action date for one of the cases was today's date. I kinda just figured that it would be "document was mailed" or something because of my service request, so I may have let out a little bit of a screech when I read "New Card being Produced". New website still reads all as "Case Received".

I plan to stick around until every last one of us Novembers (Novembies? Needs thought 😂) Has gotten our Green Cards and moved to removal of conditions. You guys have been so super supportive, after all ❤️

Thank you! Fingers crossed it will arrive tomorrow!

Once we get it and have whatever they need, I'm real tempted to show up on their doorstep after work (I drive by it on the way home anyway), hand deliver it, and tap my foot impatiently why I stand over their shoulder and watch them review the case. They probably wouldn't like any part of that plan though 😂

That would be totally awesome! I fully support you doing so. :D
