Low and behold my prediction was correct all along! They have increased processing to 5-7 months for EAD! It just maddens me so much. Like seriously, the NBC CAN'T COPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe they just wanted it to match the I-131 inquiry date, no?

In any case it is highly annoying and from what it seems, we can't do a thing, except waiting.

I try to be as calm as possible, but it is difficult sometimes.

Truly hope you get that notification soon. 💚

Thank you! Fingers crossed it will arrive tomorrow!

Once we get it and have whatever they need, I'm real tempted to show up on their doorstep after work (I drive by it on the way home anyway), hand deliver it, and tap my foot impatiently why I stand over their shoulder and watch them review the case. They probably wouldn't like any part of that plan though 😂

It's absolutely pathetic.

And I'm super frustrated on behalf of all the people who were *that close* to being able to inquire. In my honest opinion they shouldn't be approving anyone past the end of October for EADs until they finish up September and have at least HALF of October done. It's absolutely ridiculous.

I wonder how many times they are going to keep pushing back? Whilst 'pushing back' on inquiry dates more filers keep filing as months go on. Their system is going to crack soon. There's only so many delays they can have in place.

I'm trying not to let it get to me but I can see them gradually increasing to 5.5-7.5 months, then 6-8 months. Any wander why there is so many expedites?

I sound like such a sour soul and apologies for that. I just wish they would transfer cases but go figure :P

Thank you! We've been contemplating hand delivering it since we're so close to the local office, but we'll just send it tracked mail. The anxiety is the worst part about it. I have a hunch it's going to be a name mismatch on my dad. He used to try to be 'hip' when he was younger and spelled Marc with a C, and it says that for his name on the birth certificate. But he's gone by 'Mark' with a K since I was about 3 years old so all the documentation reflects that.

If this is the cause of the RFIE, he will get a world of ####### from me on my weekly Skype call home on Thursday 😂

It is frustrating! I came awful close to expediting myself. The wait wouldn't suck so much if we could actually work and contribute, or even do volunteer work. I hope you hear something soon though!

I had to lol at the "processing quickly" part 😂 clearly nothing is being processed quickly except for a few lucky ones!

LOL!! It's nearly like you have to be a lucky lotto ball that the NBC decides to draw out in order to approve you :P

They'll keep delaying until their numbers match what the higher ups want. 😕

Idk. I'm very frustrated with it all right now. I went from being within their processing times to being outside them once more, until April 9th. I can't imagine what others might be feeling I just...this whole thing sucks. 😂

I know I might sound repetitive but they don't want to make this process easier and faster if anything this is the administration's goal to make it as hard as possible. This is part of their anti immigration campaigns. They can't change the laws to stop immigrants from coming without proper congress or senate approval so they are backlogging the system in order to discourage immigration. I won't be surprised if the immigration timeline goes up to 12 months for EAD at some point. If you look at the USCIS historical average times. They have increased so much it is crazy. I am thinking about removal of conditions coming up soon. There is people there pending 22 months+ and there is no local office difference they are all getting processed in the big centers.  By the time I apply and with this backlog it will take me 40 months for removal of conditions.

RFIE is getting delivered today. Just got the Informed Delivery email.

I got a little over zealous in my meeting about seeing its being delivered. I told them I'd bring them cupcakes when Matt's greencard gets approved.

I guess today we can find out today what slight USCIS has to complain about. I really hope this is something minor!

I agree. I have something lined up for the end of next month. I promised my sister in law I'd be a nanny for her kids over the summer. It's not my problem that NBC take too long so I'll just be looking after them. So that will keep me busy until end of Summer. If I don't have my combo by end of June (new inquiry date) I've decided I'll not be going to to the UK this year. It'd be too much money to book last minute and it wouldn't be best use of money considering our debt, bills and everything that needs to be paid back. My family would understand. I will not expedite despite their best efforts to infuriate us as I want expedites to be free for people who are in most dire need ❤️

If so.."up to 22months", USCIS advised you file for Naturalization (Citizenship) because even without the Removal of Conditions, you're still a legal PR.

Pushed back again?! Omg. I guess it isn't surprising...just infuriating. Was really hoping for some better news this week :(

No matter how infuriated I get, I'm going to hold onto my VJ timeline for approval. Even though it's no guarantee/decisive indicator for approval with the timeline, I feel we need something to clinch onto for hope! There has got to be light eventually because they can't let the files rot LOL ❤️
