I’m pretty sure the adjudicators have misplaced something. You’ll have it nailed within 5 minutes and ready to send back I’m sure ☺️

Rounded numbers are the best. No one wants to be that psycho that gets a change on day 173 😂

NOOOOO! OMG! That's not nice. :(

It could be something similar to what happened with @K1visaHopeful, who shared there was an issue with a name mismatch on the marriage certificate -because of the name change-.

On the bright side, yeah, you're right, they touched your file, so we can be certain it is not abandoned in a box collecting dust.

Truth. I was getting worried about it being abandoned or dumped in a corner somewhere 😂. I'm surprised they touched AOS first though. We are both relieved there was something. It'll probably be some incredibly minor detail that's slightly off or something.

Hmmm. I had DMed them since I never ended up seeing the reason they got their RFIE. I changed my last name and kept my maiden name as a second middle name, but then again I'm not the immigrant either. I'd think that there would more likely an issue if Matt had changed his name at all. Hopefully its something small and easily fixable.

She shared it on the October thread. The actual reason was "Name does not match USCIS records". Not sure if that could apply to both the petitioner and the beneficiary, as both have records with the USCIS after the K1.

USCIS is full of surprises and loooves amazing us constantly with their slips and quirks.

I hope that, as you say, it is something quick and easy. 💚

Here's everything we included, so something must have been misplaced:

AOS:
- A cover letter for I864
- Payment
- Form G 1145
- Form I 485
- Copy of I 797
- Photocopy of Certified Marriage Certificate (with paper saying an original can be provided upon request)
- Copy of birth certificate of my husband's
- Copy of biographical page of passport of my husband's
- Copy of K1 Visa page
- Copy of I 94, front and back
- Two 2"x2" passport style photos with husband's A# on back
- Copy of DS 3025 Vaccination Records

Affidavit of Support:

- A cover letter for the I864
- Form I 864
- Verification of Employment
- Copies of six months of most recent pay stubs
- Copies of IRS tax transcripts for past three fiscal years
- Copy of biographical page of passport of mine
- Copy of birth certificate of mine (front and back)

It says "initial evidence' but you applied back in 11/2018 right?
I applied 12/17, and mine says RFE for additional evidence. I still haven't received it and it is now day 14. I dont know what is going on. They lose stuff all the time. Did you even have your interview yet?

Nope, no interview yet. And yep, said for initial evidence. My husband is junktardis and he posted the screenshots of the app.

I need to confess a guilty pleasure: I search for those "reality show" like cases around this site. You know, the over dramatic or scammy ones -the "I'm asking for a friend" type-. I joyfully go through the threads reading ALL those sometimes caustic comments from members; but then, if it gets too heated, moderators close them. 😕 :P (I just finished going through the "trending hot topic" of today, at the home page of the forum.)

Unfortunately, there had been occasions when I freak out thinking: OMG! What if it happens to me? 😮
