The value I’ve gotten from this page has been undescribable. I honestly would have crumbled if I didn’t have the support here. I may be waiting a while but it’s been so wonderful to converse with people who get this wait, the pain and everything that has come with it. No one will truly ever understand this until they’ve been through this.

I just wish we could have a ROC thread but we might all go through it at different stages!!

Ill always remember this wee thread in years to come ❤️💖❤️💖❤️

Soon 6 months as I expect combocard. I am from October 4th. I lost hope of receiving this document within a specified time and I have 10 days left before submitting a request for form I-765 ( today 25 on September). But....for form I- 131 this day 8 September.

But I have a suspicion that in this way they have increased the waiting period for applicants of combocard and will be guided by the date of September 8, and not September 25. This is a hidden delay in the review process, in my opinion. Who has any suggestions on this?

I hope I understandably explained what I mean.🤔

I think I understand;

Even though the card you get for EAD and AP is a combo card, they're still technically processed separately; so while the request for the AP (I-131) is 8th of September, you should still be able to inquire about the EAD on the 25th of September with no issues.

Thank you for answer.🙂

I understand, but I want to have only 1 document, not 2 separate ones. Therefore, I assume that they can postpone the issuance of a work permit to me until the travel document is considered. And then will be give me combocard ( like I ordered). Maybe I'm not right. I will report on your November forum my result.

Hmm, yeah most experience getting both at once in combo on approval. So whilst both maybe processed seperately I think they would be still combined on your card. I don’t/hope there wouldn’t be a delay due to separate inquiry dates.

But I get ya because it’d be two separate inquiries yet still one card... 😊

I am getting so pissed off with how long this ####### is taking. I'm due to fly out to the UK in June/July with @rrobin0609. I'm extremely tempted to expedite. Both my parents are midway through some pretty major surgeries right now. Think they'll allow an expedite for that? They aren't in the best of health at the moment. I haven't got a clue how to expedite at this point.

I am sorry to hear about your parents😢.

I have a situation like that too.

My grandfather is in 3rd stage prostate cancer and I am going crazy in the past 2 days as his health is getting worse.

I got an emergency AP infopass in Seattle for my teeth implants in January.

When I went to my biometrics on 31st December I saw the kiosk and went and booked it like that.

On 14th January, I went and got it approved. (I had doctor’s letter from S Korea translated and Apostille).

Don’t know if I will be able to do it again, but you could try online or call to book.

I think it also depends on the person that day. You have nothing to lose!

Yes it’s combined in the card. The card is actually just an employment authorization card but on the bottom in bold print it says  SERVES AS I-512 ADVANCE PAROLE.
