Maybe you could wait until mid April and if nothing has happened, fax documents regarding your parents surgeries and health condition to expedite. I'm certain that's a justified reason to do so.

And I wish a speed recovery for them. I can totally understand the feeling.

Thank you, it is very frustrating. Under normal circumstances I'd have driven them home from surgery etc.

That's what I'm tempted to do too, I am fairly sure April will be a chunk of Nov filers getting approved so I'd like to try to wait it out a little more if possible. I spoke to my parents about it and they're happy to scan and email over their doctors notes and appointment letters for me to use in evidence. I am fairly sure it's a legitimate reason enough too, I am sure I've heard of others doing the same thing. I also don't want to feel like I'm abusing the option of expediting either, we're all in a long wait together.

I don't need coffee as anger has kept me awake for 5 hours now. 😕

What I do need and crave for is a very unhealthy thing I began doing last night: cover almond and chocolate chip cookies in vanilla frosting. I found it yummy, sinful and I still wonder how is it that I gained so much weight. :P

Sugar makes me happy!

It is not abusing at all. Parents are to be looked after, especially when their health is not at its best.

It's emotionally draining to be so far from them on these conditions, unable to be with them when they're in need.

I truly hope you get the EAD/AP soon. 💚

My VJ timeline keeps reducing. Don’t know why but I’m wandering if it’s the few expedites (I think) recently causing it too. I stand corrected if not.

I fully support @K1visaHopeful ‘s recommendation to have expedite tick box or something on timelines. It’d be super useful 😊

I second that. It’s not abusing Expedites and this is a good example of why it should be used. I hope you get your combo soon for sure 💖

I got some support from the upper mods when I posted it so let's see if they implement it!

Do we know where this website gets it's data from? I took a very brief peek. Is it possible they get their data from my.uscis.gov where the statuses rarely update.....

It doesn't specify, but their blog hasn't been updated since August 2013 and the copy write for their website hasn't been updated since 2017. They also haven't tweeted since April of last year. The blog just mentions their scrubbing engine and  their statistics program. I'll sent them a tweet and see if they are willing to share with me.

Do we know when my.uscis.gov was introduced? That might give us a better idea of where the data is being pulled if the twitter contact ends up being a bust 😂

Sometime during my process. So Nov 2017 to now. If I recall it was summer 2018.

I forgot to share that a few days ago, I was searching on statistics at the USCIS site and found a manual describing in full detail, their plan on how to decrease the backlog.

Appeared to me very thorough and sound, with the only downside of being dated back to 2006. 😅 Way to go!

This administration has no intention of decreasing the processing times. This is not a new process they know the impact of their decisions. I just tell myself to wait and wait and wait.

There is nothing else but hope and faith. I feel April will be a shining month for Nov filers.

Its only 37 days until May 5 or so before Nov 1 filers can begin making case inquiries. I think I worked it out correctly-stand corrected if not as my math is woeful 🙈

Providing they don't change the dates again, you're probably spot on 😂
