i'm calling tomorrow and speaking to a supervisor.  its makes no sense that I've talked to 5 people and all act like they didn't graduate high school.  Called the first time because it was showing received but no progress.  Was told a officers are reviewing it called a week later and was told I had a RFE that was put in 3/25 and I called after 3/25 and he didn't see it.  Then called again and a few days later and talked to a tier two officer and was told that its still being processed and they don't know what the RFE is yet.  then on the website it said RFE was mailed out on 4/8.  Called again and told these idiots. I'm about to leave the country in a month so need to know what the RFE is so I can respond to if because i'll be  out of the country for 2 months and I won't be back in time to respond.  Still the "i don't know what it is and wait for it to come in the mail."  4/16 still no letter.  Then was told every time the website has the latest information.  so I told them that on the website the old site didn't even says I have a RFE until a week after I called you and the new site still says its received.

Tier 1 or 2 can only tell you if you have an RFE or not. They cannot see what is in there. Wait for few more days and if you won't hear anything, call again and ask tier 2 to fax it for you. When I had rfe they have told me 2 weeks ahead I had one before I even saw anything on the new site. And it took one more week for me to receive anything in the mail.

Guys! We finally got approved for NOA2. Thanks for all the help from the community and especially @Greenbaum , really appreciate all the info you gave throughout the process.  So Happy! Below is my timeline and what I've observed.

TIMELINE:  NOA1 (11/15) > RFE notice (3/20), notice was about not putting a checkmark if I had any criminal record (which I didn't). > CA office received RFE back on 3/29 > received approval NOA 2 (4/17) about two and a half weeks. It's weird because I received an email on 4/18 (as of today) that an action was made on my case on the new site, but I was approved on 4/17 when I logged online to check. Old site still says they only sent an RFE notice. I even made a call on 4/17 in the morning and the person told me to wait 60 days and if you don't hear back then call again to see where your case is at, so I just said "thanks and really appreciate all the info" and hanged up and next day approved! It's definitely a coincidence and VisaJourney timeline approval estimate was pretty spot on so I thought I just try and give it a call. :D

Regards to the RFE notice about the criminal record. I find it weird that there are few others that I know of who received the same exact RFE letter about criminal record and it seems that theres an updated version of the form or the question was made to seem like you didn't have to answer the question and skip it, as I think it's due to the latter.

Neither. We have seen one update but the other not. We have seen neither update. We have seen both update. So pick your answer because "all of the above" is also a true answer .

If you are this early in the game and you are this stressed out remember you have a long long way to naturalization. The man who has the gold makes the rules. Just saying. :D
