I did had my fiance ask for a copy back in January. but i dont think he knows what i was asking for... he knows literally nothing about the process. that is why he hired the lawyer.

i will do it myself from now on...

Same reason we have hired a lawyer :) my fiance don't know anything as well. he feels good just to pay money and thinking all is going smooth and here i am :clock:

Yes first thing is to ask for the NOA1 so you know the exact dates of case, and more important that he really submitted your case or no.

We affidavit from a friend with his letter to USCIS confirming our relations is real and he signed that letter and we attached his passport copy and few pictures with us as well on the second page of the same letter.

We did the same thing. In my fiance's country for example public notare wont sign a paper in less it's an official document like birth certificate etc. In my case we used letter from friends with their signature and copy of their ID and their address and phone numbers so they can see people are open to answer more questions if they feel like.

We used a lawyer as well, but USCIS sent one copy of NOA1 letter to my fiance address and one to attorney, i am not sure you are fiance or beneficiary they must have sent one copy to you guys for NOA1, unless your lawyer skip to add your address. there is a field in form where you have to add the address.

To be honest these lawyers are not very helpful, our lawyer is telling us that we should expect a repose in July ... grrrr, he don't know people from December start getting approvals.

This is because your lawyer goes by official USCIS site. And according to the site they are reviewing now August I believe. Lawyers don't stay on VJ that's why they are not worried because basically we are still within normal process.

We had RFE on March 9th and we sent it back yesterday. This is my second k1 with the same person so I feel like I was patient enough.

I wish you all the best  - Just a question please, if petition is unsuccessful how they notify? by letter?

Your fiancé wants the best for you and that the process will go smoothly hence the reasoning for him to hire a lawyer. He has compassion for you and understands that this is going to be a long process. What a great fiancé you have. Unfortunately, no matter if he did the paperwork or the lawyer completes it, you are still going to be waiting. Gratitude is a two way street and comes in different forms. You have to trust the process.
