So much for trying to stay off here ha.

I'm a march 2019 filer but I got a little baffled when I saw the "estimated" adjudication time for "my month", end of July/middle of August dates.

When I joined this website I fully went in with the expectation of getting NOA2 by end of September/beginning of October only to then investigate on October/November/December filers finding the pleasant surprise that they have been approved. A 4/5 months time frame.

Does anyone have a slight idea as to why USCIS got "faster"? Why did last year take so long to see approvals? Is  this trend expected to keep on going? I just have so many questions

Spoiler

The process over the years has been fluid in that it has never stayed the same for long. When I went through my K-1/K-2 it was 3-4 months and of late it has been 6-8 months. Those times, as you noted, are coming back down. There is no rhyme or reason to why this happens. I suspect that when an administration takes a position on an immigration policy then many "freak out" and file which then clogs the system. But this is just speculation on my part. There is no "official" explanation.

Most times the immigration position broadcast has nothing do with the actual K-1 and CR-1 visas. But people are people and they react emotionally rather then rationally. We see it all the time here on VJ. Some news article will be published and oh boy the VJ threads are a poppin with fear when in fact it has no baring on them.

@Greenbaum Gotcha! Thank you for the response! I agree with the last part

I appreciate the fact that you're always very prompt and willing to answer users questions regardless of them being obnoxious or repeatedly asked

I try and be a good VJ user and be as less annoying as possible but can't help but feel like such a rookie with all this haha.

The expected adjudication timeline should change as the months go by right?

Changes daily pretty much. When we sent our I-129F it showed end of May, now it shows beginning of April. Was in a steady drop from December

I called several times last week to ask for case status and every time was told that they hadn't touched my case yet.

Today I received the approval letter!

NOA1 - 11/15

NOA2 - 3/21

Neither site was updated.
