Hey guys gm..so I received my interview date for December ..I'm preparing for my interview..I just have 2 question ..so I did my police certificate a few months ago for NVC it was issued on June 11 2018..on the record it says record expires 1 year from issued date ..so am asking if i should get a new police certificate for the interview.. because I heard someone say it's valid for 6 months..am living in Jamaica...and secondly me n my wife didn't use any rings at our wedding ceremony ..it was a very small ceremony n we plan to do a big ceremony when were together with her family n friends..so I won't be wearing any ring to the interview so am wondering if that will be a problem ... thanks in advance for the informative comments and advice ...have a great day

Wedding rings are not a requirement. As long as you have a marriage license/certificate that shows you two are legally married that is all the requirement necessary to prove marriage during the spousal visa.

You shouldn't have to get another police record if you already submitted all your documents to the NVC as they will send it all to the embassy; however, if you want to have an updated one with you on hand for the interview, it doesn't hurt. That is totally up to you.

ROC Filing:

4/21/2021 - Sent ROC Package via FedEx

4/22/2021 - FedEx package delivered and signed

5/11/2021 - Check cashed

5/14/2021 - Received NOA1 via mail (NOA1 date: 5/8/2021)

6/9/2021 -  Biometrics waived - Case updated to Fingerprints taken
