Noticed an upcoming package from USCIS in our USPS informed delivery and got curious. Turns out they approved the ROC on 11/20/19 (but mailed the card on 11/18/19). Five days past one year, just in time for that N400.

Congrats. But which Service Csnter?

VSC. Filing dates and whatnot are filled out in our timeline, but 11/21/2018 filing, no interview, biometrics 12/26/19. So correction, a year and a day since filing.

GUYS! I JUST received a text from USCIS about 3 minutes ago saying that my case has been updated. So I checked "Case Status Online" and it says "New Card Being Produced. On November 14, we ordered your new card for receipt number EAC and will mail it to your address...."

But when I check my account via my.uscis.gov, it just says case received. Idk which is more accurate but I'm hoping "Case Status Online" isn't lying... lol

So yeah, my case is with VSC/I've EAC receipt number and am from NYC...

Edit to add: No, haven't filed for Citizenship yet. Honestly, not in a hurry to. Also did not have an interview and did biometrics 12/31/18. Filed 11/28/18.

Update: I got my card in the mail yesterday (11/21)!

Ugh how come I am still in this limbo lol? I applied November 1st! 😂 Biometrics on 12/12 ... It's been almost 13 months! No updates since August! #Depressing.

Now, jokes aside, does anyone know how to prove residency without the extension letter? I have a passport stamp bc I never got the extension letter, I am buying a house and my lender needs to see proof of legal residency, I sent the expired green card and the stamp, but the stamp doesn't have my name in it (just the USCIS number) and they are pushing back. Is there any other place (maybe online) that residency can be verified? is e-verify.gov used by banks as well, or just for employment? I wish this card would get here tomorrow!

I would believe that driver license and couple bank statements will be proof of residency

I meant proof of permanent residency, proof that I am legal/ green card holder. My DL still states that I have a temporary immigration status as NJ has a very strict DMV.

Not only that. I was able to get an ID when I was just a student. An ID doesn't mean much.

So yesterday I decided to send in an e-request for the extension letter that I never got. Although I didn't need it this whole time, I thought it'd be nice to have it just in case, and my wishful thinking also pushed me to do it hoping it will perhaps help move the process. Even though I doubt it. But it's been 90 days since my biometrics, so I thought I'd add some noise to the total silence. It's just depressing to see no activity at all. I filed November 12th. No transfers. No RFE's. WAC1990058XXX

Anybody in the same boat?
