Hello guys,

New to this forum.  I was reading all of the thread and I don't think anybody has the same update I received  a few days ago

My ROC is bein process at the Nebraska Service Center, and the update says: On October 7, 2019 we updated your name for your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number LIN199010xxxx

First off my case is at Texas center, but I also received that update. I filed an inquiry on that case and got a letter with no name change on my paper work saying my case is normal. Now when I did research if other people in past have received that same update I found others and said it happens.

Also in the email they sent you (they sent me one too) saying that they started working on my case. I got my message last February though.

I received the same update in sept. My lawyer had updated her information. If your lawyer has updated his or her information you will get this status update.

I didn't use a lawyer for the process, both my wife and I spend about a week putting the package together.

The extension letter was mail to me on mid January 2019, Biometrics were done on July 24th and finger prints review was completed on July 29th 2019. NO activity was reported until October 7th "we updated your name for your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence"

That’s weird I would call and ask to speak with a tier 2 officer to get clarification. Maybe they updated the wrong file and if so you want to make sure it’s corrected.

I just got off the phone with an escalated official from USCIS customer service, He quoted " The reason why you received that update is because the officer in the service center is now working on your case, we don't have an appropriate way to update the system, that is the reason we use we updated your name for your form...... Don't worry too much let them do their job"

I guess it's good to hear that someone is already woking on my case, just waiting for the best!

Texas filer here (case sent October 29, fingerprint fee accepted Nov 6, SRC 199XXXXXXX)

Today (October 19) I received a biometrics letter from USCIS asking to do biometrics on October 30.

This is interesting, because back in January 2019 I got a notice that my biometrics will be reused, and my status changed to "Fingerprint review completed". My case status did not change, nor did I get any electronic notification about this. Also, in case tracker, my status is still "Fingerprint fee received".

01-16-2016: AOS package sent

01-09-2017: AOS (I-130 and I-485) granted

10-31-2018: I-751 filed

01-25-2019 NOA received (Extension letter, Biometrics waiver letter)

10-19-2019 Biometrics letter received

10-30-2019 Biometrics to be completed

Any California filers here that got approved already? It's almost one year now after we filed. It looks like filers from July/August are getting approved now, which means around 3 months left for us November California filers?
