Hi all,

Like many of you I haven't received my notification (I filed on. Nov. 29th and my GC expired on January 23rd). I have an info pass appointment this week and I'm wondering what documents I need to bring. Did you bring all the documents related to your case as the appointment notice suggests?

Thanks!

A

I had my passport, green card, biometrics letter (they didn’t really need it but needed case number) and appointment confirmation number, that’s it

Hi all,

I’m sitting at the USCIS office after being told that they won’t give me a stamp on my passport unless it’s an emergency. My GC has expired and my notification hasn’t arrived. Has this ever happened to anyone? Is there anything that says that there is no reason for them not to give me a stamp?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks!

Maybe consult an attorney? There are plenty of attorneys that will give on phone advice. Google best rated attorney in your area.

Good luck!

Thank you! They’re asking me for a letter of my employer to put the stamp on my passport. This is a Miami office. Not sure if others have had the same issue.

Can you ask to speak with a different officer (nicely)? Tell them you plan to travel soon, you could even try to book some refundable flights just to have something to show if it comes to that. They are being ridiculous

Hey there,

Did anyone had luck going to a local office as a walk in to get an infopass? My GC expired on 1/10 and my letter never came. I have travel plans for 2/14 and I just can't schedule an infopass. Called many times and they suppose to call me back to schedule but they only time I was able to get a call back I was told I needed to wait for the notice on the mail which is insane. My local office is Newark NJ and I really don't want to miss my President's day vacation which is non-refundable.

AOS filled: April 4th, 2016

Received in Chicago: April 5th, 2016 (Day 1).

NOA: April 9th, 2016

Biometrics: May 12th, 2016 (Day 37)

Service Request for EAD: June 24th, 2016 (Day 80)

EAD Approved: July 2nd, 2016 (Day 88)

Advance Parole Approved: July 2nd, 2016 (Day 88)

EAD + AP Combo Card Delivered: July 9th, 2016 (Day 95)

Interview: January 10th, 2017

Green Card Approved: January 10th, 2017

Green Card Received: January 17th, 2017

NYC office doesn’t take walk ins - you need an appointment number to get to an officer. I would call again to ask for an appt and hope you get a different officer who’d be willing to schedule. When I was scheduling, they had them as soon as next day

I read that they usually take 5 to 7 weeks after filing but considering we had to wait longer for NOA, then maybe more than that. This week is gonna be my 12th weeks after filing and still no sign of biometric appointment. But then I read again not everyone has to do it, so I don't know.
