Called this number and was given my receipt number. it starts with WAC. That's California right? Is that good or bad?

There's not really a good or bad in this process....all of them are fairly slow right now.  Vermont is perhaps the fastest?  From what I've read, no one from California has gotten a biometrics appointment in the last 6 months at least, so that might be a plus?

Just to be super clear, you're filing at the Texas Lockbox (or for some states the Arizona lockbox).  This is distinct from the Texas Service Center.  Those two lockboxes then forward them to California, Nebraska, Texas, or Vermont Service Centers.  I think they try to sort them geographically, but I don't know that that's guaranteed.

If anyone is interested, just got back from a trip using my passport stamp instead of green card with no problems. The inbound airline were a bit confused, had to call up someone, but they let me on. Immigration when I got here were great, was really quick, they know what they are doing.

Still no NOA1, when my check was cashed back in the first week of November, will submit a request today.

Good Luck All!

Thanks. My geographical location is Alabama. I don't know if anyone here filed from Alabama.

still sadly waiting on mine and its been 42 days so far, this is insane how people who mailed there forms in December already got there NOA1. don't get me wrong I happy they got theres I am just frustrated that I didn't get mine and its been over a month, I am happy I was still able to go to vegas with my family for xmas and did not have any issues with it but would love to go to Canada to be there for my nephews birthday.

It's driving me crazy too. I've been waiting for 8 weeks now, my green card is expired in 2 weeks. I called USCIS, they said they received my case, I got my receipt number by calling them. When I added to my USCIS account, it worked, but whenever I try to track my case online, it always says they don't recognize my receipt number. I don't mind about the processing time, I just need the extension letter and the USCIS account here in Louisville doesn't accept walk-in request or schedule infoPass appointments 😭😭😭 USCIS officer that I spoke to last week told me to call them again today if I still haven't received my NOA.

O update....I just checked my uscis account and it says "On December 20, 2018, your inquiry about a notice that you did not receive, referral number SRxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, was assigned to an officer for response."

@Venus201320 where did you get this notification? I submitted e-request for non delivery yesterday but it doesn't say anything on my account. I got the email and reference number. They want me to expect reply on January 25, that's 6 days after my green card expires lol 😭.

***--- UPDATE ---***

USCIS Nebraska Service Center (LIN)

Case received by USICS: Nov 13, 2019.

I just found out that Vermont transferred my case to Nebraska. Maybe because that's where I submitted my CR1. I really don't really know how it works. I live in Louisville, so I thought my service center would be in Texas, but my lawyer sent the case to Vermont and now it's ended in Nebraska 😫. Anyway, I still haven't received my receipt notice yet and after my second call to USCIS, the agent said the reason why I can't check my case status online because they haven't created a receipt number, the receipt number that they gave me on my first call to USCIS was the number to lets me know that they received my case, if that makes sense.

The USCIS office in Louisville is not accepting walks-in and scheduling infopass appointment, so I can't get a stamp on my passport but she said she bypassed that and will send me an email with a link to make an appointment with them and someone will contact me by phone in 48-72 hours from today. I just hope it really works because the link that she gave me previously didn't work unless I have confirmation and PIN number, which I don't. I don't understand why it's really hard just to get extension letter. I need a proof to give my employer in case it pops up on their system that my green card expires in January 19.

I also submitted e-request of non delivery yesterday and got a reference number. On my USCIS account, it only says "we received your case, you do not need to do anything at this time".

If you are using a lawyer, why bother doing all the leg work for the lawyer? I don't understand.
