Below is the link to the e-request. I selected the option "Did not receive notice by mail".

https://egov.uscis.gov/e-Request/Intro.do

And then in "Notice type" did you pick "other"?

Hi Everyone, I'm new here.

I sent my packet on November 8th, The USCIS cashed the check on November 16th. I still haven't received any Receipt. and my status is as follows "Your biometric fee was received". Does anyone know what that means?

My Green card expires tomorrow and so does my Driving license.

I read in the previous posts about people going to the USCIS office after taking an appointment for an extension stamp until they receive the Receipt by mail. how does this work??? and what if my passport is Also expired. do they still stamp it? or is there any other way to do it??

I called the USCIS yesterday and they said that they mailed it more than a month ago. and that she recommends i take an appointment to get stamped.

anyone filed at the same time i did and got their I-797c yet?

Any info would be much appreciated.

I had the same issue, I got my notice on the 8th, but still no NOA. I booked an InfoPass appointment at my local USCIS office.

I explained that I still had no NOA and my green card was going to expire soon and I need to travel internationally. The took my green card and have me a stamp in my passport instead, which is good for 1 Year. I asked what happens in 1 Year if I still am not accepted, they said keep coming back and getting stamps until you are.

Not sure how it will work if your passport is expired, I've heard they will stamp an I-94 perhaps? My worry is never the US border checking it, it's the airline checking it when you fly.

Hope that helps!

So after you got the stamp. do you still expect to receive the I797?
I've been trying to search online to see if they stamp an I-94 if my passport is expired. but i can't find anything in this regard.

Thank you 🙏

I think the best way to find out would be to call USCIS and ask. Not to alarm you but I don't believe that they will stamp your passport if your passport is expired.

Call USCIS and explain them what is going then request to talk to Tier 2 support.  Ask T2 to resend you your i797 because it has been over a month and you havent received it yet and this will cause you to lose your privileges. Wait is long but they are helpful.

Good Luck!

I still expect to receive it, but its no use anymore, as they took my green card, I can't use it, the stamp in my passport is enough to travel on now.

I filed on Nov 14 and received the NOA Dec. 10 from Nebraska center. To the best of my knowledge, USCIS might consider your passport as an expired document. Better call and ask. One thing I remembered is when I was admitted to the US, my passport was valid for additional 9 month and they stamped it for a temporary 1 year, so they can stamp it for a year if it is expiring sooner. It doesn't hurt to call and ask before you book an appointment. Best of luck!

Just joining this thread, even though a bit late because I filed early November but seems like a lot of people are going through the waiting game & I've been checking on here for estimated timelines.

Sent my ROC packet on 11/06

It was delivered & received 11/09

Received the Text Receipt # on 11/14

Received my Biometrics Appt notice on 12/11 (it says on the Notice the statement date was 11/30)

Just did my Biometrics today 12/19

However, still haven't received my official Receipt in the mail - I called yesterday & they are requesting for a duplicate to be sent to me.

My GC expires this Sunday 12/23 so just a little concerned....

What’s best is to give them call and request another copy of notice or sending e-request regarding non delivery

I'm not sure which way is better. I called them yesterday but i didn't request another copy. I had no idea i could do that on the phone.

But I did send an e-request in that regard. and now i'm waiting to see if there'll be any update.
