hi

I have filed on Nov 16 , 2018 and I did not know about G1145, neither my lawyer ( i guess) cause if he knew that he would let me know.

Now my question is how should I know what is my receipt number?

If I call USCIS, do they provide it to me?

I even do not know if they cashed my money order or not? because I think I lost the serial number of my money order. I am not an un-organized person, it was because of lack of my knowledge about these processes. 😥

Hi - It is ok.  Don't stress but I'd be careful with a lawyer who doesn't know about G1145.

Yes. You can call USCIS and provide them with your A# and they will be able to give you your receipt number.

Good luck!

My payment was cashed November 6 in Texas, no NOA1, nothing.

I made an infopass to stamp my passport, and they did it but took away my actual card. So now even if I get the NOA letter, it is no use to me, as it only works in combo with the expired card..

01-16-2016: AOS package sent

01-09-2017: AOS (I-130 and I-485) granted

10-31-2018: I-751 filed

01-25-2019 NOA received (Extension letter, Biometrics waiver letter)

10-19-2019 Biometrics letter received

10-30-2019 Biometrics to be completed

Are they allowed to take your GC away like that? Did you discuss this with your lawyer?

it depends on the field office: some let you keep your card, others don’t. My officer gave me a choice: either get a stamp or keep the old card. They said that the stamp by itself is the green card (both are I-551). I chose the stamp, since I would get terminated from my job if I didn’t have an updated proof of status. 😕

Partysuchok well then what would you do once your 12 months stamp expires I mean nowdays i751 approval takes more than year

Get another stamp within one month of expiration of the old stamp.

Extension letter will will expire too before your i751 ever gets approved, so then you will still have to go get the stamp.
