We just moved next door of the duplex we live in.

Do you think it is better to wait for the paper NOA before notify USCIS of our move?

Or should I do it right away?

Our mailman knows about our situation and is putting our mail in our new mailbox.

Technically you have to update USCIS  with the new address in max 10 days after you move.

Ok, so your case was routed to California Service Center. You are looking at 15 - 21 months for your case to be adjudicated.

Good luck!

Update: Got receipt of application on 11/08/18. Received Biometrics notice on 12/03/18, but no NOA1 paper?? Any chance it is lost?

I need to travel in a few weeks, what are my options here? My Biometrics appointment is in 8 days, should I be getting a stamp in my passport then, or do I need the infopass appointment which is at another USCIS location? Thanks.

EAC office.

Hi! An October filer here at the Vermont Service Center as well. This happened to me as well. I sent the app on Oct 29th and they received it on Oct 31st. I got my biometrics notice, but still no NOA1. It seems to be happening more regularly, several others in the October filers forum are in the same boat. I'll ask for the NOA1 at the actual appointment and see if they can give me one there....haha. Good luck!

My passport has expired and i have no intention on travelling internationally anytime soon- do you guys think it would be best to renew after receiving 18 months extension or before?

I would have to fly out to California to have it renewed

Did they send it back because you mailed it 2 days too early or because the filing date on I-751 form was 2 days too early.

If you do not have the extension letter by 30 days before your trip back home than make an infopass appointment to get your passport stamped.

Really ? Where can I do that? Never heard about that.

Alright y'all.

InfoPass was unsuccessful.

Because my Green Card expires on 1/27/19 they said I have to come back when the Green Card has less than 30 days validity and they will stamp my passport. The officer was nice and he double checked with his supervisor.

I asked them if they can check if NOA 1 was issued and mailed and they said, it was issued on the November 2, 2018 and then he said IF THE NOTICE WAS MAILED YOU SHOULD HAVE RECEIVED IT BY NOW. So he didn't know for sure if it was mailed or not.  He double checked again the address and he said that everything looks okay.  LOL- I was about to say I know for a fact that it was not mailed out.

Then I asked about the biometrics and the officer was like - Don't worry about that, you won't get it for a while . WHAT?

So we are at their mercy.

I think you misunderstood. Is your Green card expired - if yes, THEY WILL STAMP YOUR PASSPORT.

IF your Passport is expired they will not STAMP your PASSPORT but you can get the stamp on CBP form I-94.

Hi! I see you are also Ukrainian. That’s nice. So my question is - can I just schedule myself an appointment and get that info pass stamp? How much does it cost and can I travel overseas with it right?

If you referred to myself, I am Romanian, so we are neighbors. :)

The stamp is free, I just paid parking :)

You can travel overseas whatsoever with your Expired Green Card and the letter.
