While at work my mother in law said I got a USCIS letter in the mail for an interview, I really wish it was a approval letter instead but this is still better than nothing . Hopefully all will be good after the interview.

has anyone gone to an interview for this and what did you bring?

Brought updated joint bank statements, photos and a mortgage document showing we bought a house together.... Think I also had something showing we were still on each other's health and car insurance.

Only asked one question. They looked at my documents for all of 15 seconds then said we were approved. Green card came in the mail the following week.

I think you'll be fine with that. Having up to date stuff is definitely good.

Well, went to my interview today :) , I was truly nervous but with my hubby holding my hand I knew we could do it as our love is real.

after the interview and while driving back home I saw an update saying my card is being produced and I was crying in the car.

my hubby knew we would pass and I guess he was right lol.

I am happy this part of the journey is over for us.

last step is doing the N400 and we will be starting that next month.

wish nothing but the best for everyone still waiting.

love conquers all. ❤️

Hello, Congrats on the approval.... may I ask you what type of questions were you asked?  were you interviewed separately? and for how long were you waiting for your interview to be scheduled after the status was ready to be scheduled for an interview?

Thank you

Thank you

The questions were ur basic question.

How We Met?

When Did We Get Married?

What Does My Hubby And Me Do For Work?

Where Do We Currently Live?

What Is Our Plan For The Future?

me and hubby also stayed in the same room and did not separate but did ask to sit in specific left or right saying which one is the immigrant which one was the US citizen. For how long we stayed the whole process from getting in to getting out it felt maybe like an hr cuz of the lines.

and as for the scheduled interview my tracker never said that , while I was at work my mother in law said I got a letter in the mail from USCIS that I had an interview for December 17th so that I wish I can answer for you .

Yesterday I officially became a US Citizen ❤️

As expected it was totally different but it was still one of the best moments of my life.

My Oath Taking took place in Phoenix, Arizona and was allowed to enter the Courthouse building about 30 minutes prior to my appointment. If you try to enter more than 30 minutes, you will not be allowed inside. Along with other applicants, we waited outside the courtroom and was asked to answer and sign the form that was sent to us together with our appointment letter. The questions were like, since your interview, did you get married or divorced, did you travel outside of the US, did you commit any crime or offense? etc.

Afterwards we entered the courtroom and sat 6 feet apart from each other. We were called individually to surrender our Greencard and other cards mailed by USCIS like the EAD. The Immigration Officer asked me a couple of questions that were on the questionnaire and asked me to verify that all information on my Certificate of Naturalization is correct. I remember him asking me too if I travelled outside of the country within the last 14 days..  When the judge arrived he congratulated us all for making it this far and reassured us that it was the final step, that all our hard word paid off.. which made me emotional and I'm sure for most of the people too in the courtroom. We then raised our right hand for the Oath of Allegiance. We didn't recite after the clerk though, she read it to us and in the end, we applicants all said, "I do" like getting married hehe and then voila, we were all US Citizens! We were called individually again to claim our Certificate and was instructed to leave right away. Cellphones were allowed inside in the courtroom but it must be on silent mode. The Immigration Officer said that we could also film the ceremony which I should have but I forgot to do so. There were about 18 of us out of 20 and some brought their interpreters with them. Guests weren't allowed in the courtroom but they could wait outside. If you opted to change your name legally, the ceremony will be officiated by a Judge and if not it will be administered by USCIS.

Whichever stage you are at with your applications hang in there! before you know it, it'll all soon be over and it'll be the biggest relief you'll ever feel in your life. Take care everyone and stay safe. You're all in my thoughts and will be keeping my fingers and toes crossed for a super speedy process for you all!

I finally had my interview today, they combined my I-751 and N-400, which is why they stalled my I-751 so much since filing. First they asked my husband some questions about me (simple stuff, my name,my date of birth, my job, if we have joint accounts, our wedding date, where we met, they asked me pretty much the same stuff). I brought some new documents, from our new home purchase, mortgage and our son's birth certificate. They asked me for photos but I didn't bring any, thought it wasn't relevant but I guess I should've brought some. Either way they told me that was approved and then had the civics test. Interestingly, they kept asking me questions about my husband in between after being told I was approved.

Then they told me both were approved but they can't technically approve them on same day so they'll put the approval for my citizenship in tomorrow.

It was pretty straightforward overall, I studied a lot for the civics test (probably too much, haha). Since I filed I got zero communication until the interview notices two weeks ago. Very happy that we are done with our immigration journey 😊.

Do u know which processing center is doing the scheduling?

I think it is the NBC, then send it to your local field office to conduct your interview.
