USCIS finally answered a case out of normal processing query I submitted in June. They have informed us that our i751 is at our local office and is waiting for an interview to be scheduled.

On a separate inquiry via infopass our IO at Houston field office has informed us that our i751 interview will be scheduled with N400 interview. He said to be patient, recent politics has made things a lot slower and painful for both the immigrants and immigration officials.

If your expected completion time is Dec 2020 I feel like you will get some good news soon. As well as the rest who’s still waiting for updates. I honestly stopped worrying about my N400 and 751 when I got my passport stamp because it was just too stressful..

thanks for updated you case ,
 I'm afraid that because my file didn't send to the field office, the field office cannot schedule my interview as both my cases I751&N400 still at NBC, will call USCIS again on Monday and try to speak with the IO, its too much no update you don't know where your file is , I don't think that we should wait the MAX processing time  22 month"I751 +20 months"N400" to get it done it's so frustrated

Hi folks,

I had my Citizenship interview earlier and wanted to share my experience. Pardon me for the lengthiness.

I started lining up about 10 minutes before my appointment time which was 1:30PM. I was given my waiting number and after about an hour, the Immigration Officer called me. She was looking for my husband which made me worry because I wasn't aware that he was supposed to be present during a Citizenship interview. When we arrived in her office she started asking about our 751 application which was probably why she was looking for my husband. I explained that he got deployed and she asked for a document that stated about it which I provided.

Before anything else, she asked for my Greencard, an ID, and the appointment letter.

She then placed me under Oath.

She went over our 751 application and she asked me questions like:

How did you meet

How long did you date

Where are his parents

When is his birthday

Where are your parents

Do you have any kids

What do you do for a living

Did you arrive here with a tourist visa, which I answered no, that it was a Fiancée Visa.

We moved on to the Citizenship interview.

First, she asked me to read what was typed on the iPad then write it down on the iPad too.

We moved on to the Civics' question where 10 questions will be asked but once I answered 6 questions, she stopped and said that I passed. The questions were:

What is the name of our national anthem?

Who is your Governor?

Who was the  first President?

We have 13 original colonies, name 3

What movement tried to end racial discrimination.

~~~ and I forgot the 6th one!!
I passed and she gave me a piece of paper saying that my application is recommended for approval. She said since I have 2 applications, she needs to double check/finalize everything first and that I should expect a letter soon regarding my Oath taking ceremony. Also, I should see changes in my case online within today or tomorrow.
She continued to ask me questions that were also asked in the n400 application, like: have you ever been arrested, have you ever committed genocide, have you ever been a part of a terrorist group -- all the no answers. Then we moved on to the yes answers like, are you willing to bear arms, are you willing to do noncombatant services.
I brought every original copy of the documents I included in my online application and the IO asked to see my Greencard, an ID, appointment letter, 2019 Tax Return Transcript, and my husband's deployment letter. She kept the photocopy of our tax transcript and the deployment letter.
Overall I feel happy but until I have my Oath taking ceremony then I'll be at ease. Good luck to you all!
