Hi guys, I was just silently following and I must say it helped me a lot to read everyone's responses and helped me calm my nerves. I hope my response help someone too.

Today i checked my status and it said " new card being produced" I almost started crying because I am so happy this long journey is finally over.

My timeline:

Sent paperwork on 11.05.2018.

Extension letter received a month later.

First it said no need for biometrics and will use my old ones then in August I received biometrics appointment for 08.21.2019.

And after that nothing, my 18 months extension passed at the beginning of May, 2020. I called uscis and they said to call on the 4th of june to schedule an appointment for info pass. I did that last Thursday and they said it will take up to 5 business days for someone to call me back and schedule the appointment. Today my status change and I can't be happier.

I haven't applied for n400. But will soon. I am in California.

Good luck to everyone! I hope everyone gets good news soon.

Congrats!  That's encouraging!   What's your local office and which service center (MSC, California etc)?

7/22/2023: Both (parents) petitions approved

7/27/2023: Both cases sent to NVC

18months of waiting for me and still nothing. I tried putting a service request and ombudsman and they said my case is still in the processing time. I’m getting frustrated here. My extension letter is expiring in 2months and I’m scheduled to move next year. My N400 doesn’t have any updates either. Is there anything else i can do? I so caled the military helpline but it’s no help. I wish i could at least get my 10yr green card. Seattle USCIS here is crazy backlogged i heard. I know there might be people waiting longer than me but this is making me so frustrated.

I wonder if your case would be considered emergency to get the I-551 stamp.
