How long were you married after getting the 2-year GC?

 

I also filed a divorce waiver in Seattle, but I recently moved out of state.

I am hoping that my timeline would be similar to yours.

 

But I am worried that I didn't send over enough evidence, and that's why I would appreciate if you can share!

What a relief. Next step N-400

 

Wishing everyone still waiting, that you get your card soon. My signature has my timeline and here is some additional info. Happy to answer any questions you might have:

- Submitted mid November 2018 - Texas Service Center

- Didn't get extension letter so I requested a copy

- Copy hadn't arrived and the card was close to expire so I requested online an infopass on January 2019 and got an I-551 stamp in my passport that would last 1 year . They took my green card and they mentioned I could keep the extension letter as a reference when I got it

- Got the extension letter copy  via post

- Got a biometric appointment letter for November 2019 

- Requested a new infopass to renew my I-551 stamp on my passport. I had to wait 30 days before it expired to be able to schedule the infopass and they called me to schedule it once I called to explain my situation. 

- Got the renewal of the stamp  on December 2019

- After 15 month and a week of waiting I got a notification that my status has changed. Went online and confirmed that my card was being produced.

 

I will confirm once I have my card with me.

I am already starting the citizenship application, fingers crossed it will all be finalized by the end of this year.

- Did you submit your N-400 application online?

- Did you get a Biometrics appointment? If so, How long did it take for you to get it after your submitted your application?

- If I am reading correctly the timeline in your signature the day you got your interview you got approved?

- Did you submit your N-400 application online? YEP. You can submit/upload all documents online with the online application. Take the originals with you to the interview.

If so, How long did it take for you to get it after your submitted your application? A few weeks. See my TIMELINE for the actual dates.

- If I am reading correctly the timeline in your signature the day you got your interview you got approved? YEP. Was told that were being recommended for approval at the conclusion of the interview, and given a document to that affect.

It should be. By 15.5 month 50% cased should have been completed and by 17 months 93% should be completed. But the processing time line can change any time.

I tracked the VSC time line for almost two months and it was accurate. i-751 is one of the 4 applications that USCIS is providing accurate processing time line.

I called USCIS almost a month ago and talked to tier 2. he said your case takes 18 months . my question is that based on what he said that? is it mentioned in their system that whose case takes how long?

I highly doubt that it says in the system. However, I do believe that they somehow categorize the cases. They probably have a formula and if the case has those parameters they approve early. But we will never know.

Was not Texas service center's time line longer before? Maybe when you called a month ago the upper end was 18 month. I think the tier 2 officer gave you the upper end of the processing time for Texas at that time. And if by that time your case is not completed then you can submit an inquiry.

 

I remember that Vermont was the fastest center and now it is Texas (the upper end).

We might be approved?

 

The Case tracker app and egov.uscis.gov show "New card is being produced".  When I log onto my.uscis.gov it still lists "fingerprint review completed".  Which one of these is correct?  I'm potentially very excited

You're approved. Mine said the same. Look at the date in the fingerprint review completed. Its today's day, right?

The fingerprint review is still the old date, but when I called the automated phone system it said the case was approved.  So confusing and stressful.
