Hi Everyone!

My I-797 came today, 18 month extension.

Filed: Nov. 15/2018

Check cashed & text notification from USCIS: Nov. 23/2018

I-797 received: Jan. 14/2019

I think they're just backed up, plus the holiday. I did send an e-request Jan. 7 as almost 2 months had passed.

The support here has been so helpful, thank you. Wishing everyone peace of mind as we continue our visa journey.

My husband's NOA arrived today. WAC, check cashed November 23. I called about two weeks ago and was told USCIS doesn't send duplicates and we would have to do the passport stamp (extremely puzzled about why the rep would lie about this; I told her what she was saying was not true, she said SHE was USCIS and she knew the truth, not anyone else). I did the e-request the same day, a couple of days later got the email that we would be sent the duplicate as a courtesy. I think that was January 8 that I called and did the e-request. The NOA that arrived today is the original, not a duplicate. It was mailed January 11. Hard to say if it's coincidence or my call and e-request moved things along.

I went to my wife's infopass appointment yesterday.  Apparently the person who entered my case into the system just completely entered someone else address in it from TX.  I live in SC.  They did give me the stamp though as my wife's green card expired this month on the 20th.  My service center is Texas.

Well I will say I had the nicest customer representative take my call on USCIS. I explained my situation (e-notification on Nov 15, No NOA1 yet, e-request submitted, with no reply) and requested she connect me with a Tier2.

She mentioned it was not necessary, that she has been hearing cases like mine for some time. There has been issues with the NOA1's not being printed since July and it was supposed to be fixed but it happened once more in October.

Since I submitted the e-request on December 17 and got an update that an officer was looking at my request on January 7th, she mentioned I should get a reply within the next week.

However since I have an infopass appointment soon, she mentioned to go ahead and go and request an extension (via stamp or even ask if they can print me a copy of the NOA1 - since a customer was able to get one in another office). It might be a possibility that I end up with that copy and one via post, but that the important thing is that I get my extension to my Green card.

She was incredibly nice and helpful.

I will go to my infopass appointment and hopefully get a copy of my NOA1 or a stamp on my passport. GC will expire at the beginning of next week, so hopefully it will get sorted out before it expires.

Since it took me a while to sort out the menu to get a rep to pick up my call here is the numbers in the menu to select:

Phone number 800-375-5283

Menus: 1(for english) and then 1 - 2 - 2 after that I entered my case number and the rep was able to get my information quickly after she verifying my personal data.

Hope this helps!

Finally got a response on email.

"On 01/03/2019, you or the designated representative shown below, contacted us about your case. U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) records indicate your Receipt Notice was mailed to the address on file.  We have requested the notice be resent to the address listed in our systems. You should receive it within 10-14 business days."

The problem is I have never received anything from USCIS. I check the mailbox everyday and I even have the informed delivery app. So I called USCIS again to check if the address they have is correct, and it is, the officer said that it doesn't say on the system that they have already sent out the receipt notice (weird how the email says otherwise). Anyways, she put me through the Tier 2 officer and I told her about my concerns, and it's been more than two months, she said someone is gonna call me to set up biometric appointment. I hope that will happen soon.
