"Santa (or insert whatever belief here) is real if YOU think he is real. So no matter what your friends tell you, ignore it. Even though mom and dad buy the santa presents, if Santa is real to you in your heart then he exists. He's more of a feeling."

I told my daughter the same, my fiance tried convincing her he wasnt real, and last christmas she sd "but i want him to be real" and i told her "as long as YOU think hes real, then HE IS REAL" she had a blast when she saw "from santa" on presents, and when my fiance called to wish us a happy christmas, she told him strait out "hes real and your dumb, but i love you", so yes, i would agree with you on that.

I failed to mention that speech was given to my 11 year old son that was getting picked on at school because he was the only 5th grader that still believed We made him SWEAR not to tell my 6 year old.

Yea my daughter is 10, its cute how they still at this age in 4th and 5th grade still believe, i remember my parents telling me the truth when i was 5, and since then i dont believe anything they tell me, i figured if they can lie about santa, who knows what else they lied about

Glad my daughter still believes me. She lost a tooth lastnight even and still puts in under her pillow and when she found $10 (yes alot i know) under her pillow this morning i saw her thanking the tooth fairy for the large amount of cash then asking me to go take her to buy neopets

i don't care how long my kids believe, but we called it quits when the 11 year old was getting into serious arguments with every kid at school because he still believed and felt it necessary to defend santa. So we figured, you know, he's got enough issues we'll just tell him the truth so he stops getting picked on by the other kids. My 6 year old still believes, and we've got one on the way, so it's all good. Plus now my 11 year old is all excited he gets to be part of being santa for the little ones.

heheh definitely if they start getting beat up for it!

I suck at being the tooth fairy. I always forget! I usually have to get up in the middle of the night and change it out for them. Heheheh my hubby likes to tape the dollar to the side of their bunk beds so it hits them in the face when they get up the next day

hahaha I once put it under her pillow, and she knocked it off her bed that night while sleeping, and we spent an hour trying to find it, by the time she found the money, the moment was gone
