You just cant please everyone!! The easter bunny and pastel eggs have been around for so long, leave it alone. If you dont celebrate it then look away, thats my thought on it. Same with the Happy Holidays #######, MERRY CHRISTMAS IS WHAT IT IS. This subject pisses me off now i need to go smoke!

Now inhalants on the other hand.....

Christmas if fun... you get lotsa loot! Very commercialised fo sho!

ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Easter Bunny has been sent packing at St. Paul City Hall.

A toy rabbit, pastel-colored eggs and a sign with the words "Happy Easter" were removed from the lobby of the City Council offices, because of concerns they might offend non-Christians.

A council secretary had put up the decorations. They were not bought with city money.

St. Paul's human rights director, Tyrone Terrill, asked that the decorations be removed, saying they could be offensive to non-Christians.

But City Council member Dave Thune says removing the decorations went too far, and he wonders why they can't celebrate spring with "bunnies and fake grass."

I wonder what they gonna do for Christmas, remove the christmas tree too?

This kind of thing is stupid - and also racist - or is that creedist?

As if any Muslim/Jew/Hindu would care either way - as long as they have 'Happy Hanukah' and 'Happy Divali' and other holidays at the appropriate times then where's the issue?

If we take this to extremes then 'Happy Holidays' should ALSO be banned - the word holiday has its root in the words 'Holy Day' and is derived from Christian festivals.

well, really, the "Easter" bunny and the eggs are Pagan in origin and just another tradition comandeered by the Christians to add some fun to their religion ;)

Origins:Ostara is the Anglo-Saxon name for the lunar holiday of nature's renewal pre-dating Easter, emphasizing the maiden aspect of the sunrise Goddess who is represented by fertile rabbits and the symbol of soul as egg. Ostara is often currently merged with "Lady Day," the original equinox holiday which celebrates the re-emerging fertility of the Earth Mother. Early on, Ostara was a time of culling birds' eggs, a seasonal delicacy. Traditionally it was a time of separating the weaklings from the livestock, sacrificing and symbolically resurrecting them to ensure the strength of the entire herd. Ostara also includes the blessing of sacred natural places and chain dancing around them, as well as decorating and dancing around eggs to manifest springtime re-growth of all living things. Nowadays, modern observers celebrate Ostara either on the equinox or after the full moon as Easter is celebrated

I don't mind. I've thought the easter bunny is kinda scary ever since Donne Darko...

:o sooooo true

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).
