Hello fellow November friends. We're currently at a Airbnb near the embassy, our interview is tomorrow morning at 8:10 , so far we haven't had a single hiccup on our journey, I really want to thank everyone who has helped so far, we have checked and rechecked everything numerous times. So far luckily I've caught every little mistake. In reality the only thing I'm worried about is them saying we're too married.. 😂 I've been in the Philippines for the majority of this year. Anyways wish us luck, I'm going to report some good news tomorrow.

Goodluck Kabayan! you will pass the interview no worries :)

USEM is a simple embassy to process through. If you have all your documents and some are not older then 6 months (CENOMAR and NBI) and your NBI has been searched on all AKA's you should have no problems. Spelling errors on Birth Certificates is a minor problem but may be dealt with at the interview. Smile, look the CO in the eyes when answering and be confident of your relationship. Knowledge of your fiancé is important. Last, be honest with your answer and keeping them short and to the point will keep you out of "hot water". If you don't know the answer to a question then it's ok and recommended that you say " I'm sorry I don't know that answer" or something to that affect. Good luck and we are all in your corner rooting you on.

We are starting to hear some case files are in "TRANSIT" to the embassies. Here is some information that is fun and will track your shipment to your embassy. It's been reported that the China embassy will get their files in a different manner which hasn't been determined or reported. This information will not work till 24 hours has passed.

Tracking your case file that's in transit to your Embassy. Go to www.dhl.com click Express then Tracking, then Track by Shipper's Reference, and on this page you add your search information. You change the day and month to what you think your package might have left NVC or call NVC to get the date your package had left NVC in route to your Embassy then go to the DHL website and enter the following information:

EXAMPLE:

* Shipper´s Reference : EXP 24 MAR 2011A (This is the date you think it left NVC, just substitute the date and leave everything else as is)

* Date range for shipment - From: 23 - 03 - 2011

* Date range for shipment - To: 26 - 03 - 2011

Account Number - Leave this blank

Shipment Destination: Philippines (Works for any country Just replace your country where the Embassy is located using the drop down box)

I hope these tips help you along your Journey. So, let’s share our experiences, our tips and ask questions.

No need to call as she can go to ceac.state.gov, enter "immigrant" and her case number and get the same information.

Where does the 6 months come from as it relates to NBI?  The USEM website specifically says valid for 1 year

YMMV
