Haven't heard from anyone, which is typically good news. Most here are not shy to say something.

Well that’s good! Although we are still at ‘in transit’ 😂😂😂

There are some embassies that require certain additional steps prior to the applicant can schedule an interview. Please be careful with your recommendations unless you are will versed in their embassy then I am sure they appreciate your help. Canada, Japan and there are others who specifically require you to complete certain items prior to them allowing you to schedule your interview. If you do not follow their instructions they will cancel your appointment and you will need to go to the back of the line. Just saying.

She has to complete the DS-160 first and then notify her embassy for further instructions.

Hi Greenbaum,

We received E Mail notification our NOA2 on Oct 30th and have the hardcopy paper copy too. We spoke to NVC and they confirmed our paperwork had left for London (I think it was on the 11th December). They did, however, have a letter wrong on my fiance's surname so I E Mailed them immediately. They advised me to not worry and just inform the embassy in London as they could not change it as the paperwork had already left.  I have E Mailed the London embassy to explain but had no reply as yet.

So the situation is that I I have booked my medical in London for 14th January, filled in my DS160 but I have still not had word that the paperwork has arrived at my UK address (I am in the US for Christmas). I attempted to last night book an interview online (even though it was a long shot) and it would not allow me to schedule my interview.

When I check the Status checker, my details now say No Status, when they used to say AT NVC, so that does not appear to be updating for me anymore.

So just wondered if you could give me an idea or advice on what to do next?

Should I E Mail / call the London embassy again and check they have the change of name and ask when I might receive the paperwork so that I may book my interview?

Thanks in advance 🙂

Don't be concerned right now with the misspelled name it can be addressed at the interview.

Once you have your exam scheduled, DS-160 completed and have everything else that you need for your interview, complete the Notification of Applicant Readiness Form and when your NVC case status changes to “In-transit” you can go to https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv to create an account and schedule an interview.  Make sure that you allow at least 5 working days between the date of your medical exam and the date of your interview or risk the results from the exam not arriving in time.  For your interview go here https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv/  or call here 442074867822

If you have been notified that the petition has been approved and you have received the Notice of Action, Form I-797, and NVC has advised you that your application has been transferred to the Embassy in London for processing, you are required to complete the following steps to prepare for your immigrant visa interview. (Spouses of U.S. Citizens and their children applying for K-3 & K-4 visas are required to follow the same instructions). If more than 2 weeks have passed since your petition has been approved and you have not received a letter from the Embassy, please contact us through the contact form.

Hello everyone, I’m currently visiting my fiancé in Bolivia and we just submitted our DS 160 in her country. Our CEAC case status still says ‘At NVC’ and the DS 160 states the following below. My question is I have no idea how to schedule the interview at the La Paz, Bolivia Embassy, would the Embassy give us instructions how to schedule the interview and medical? Currently our case is still at the NVC

I know we have to schedule the interview before the medical as the medical requires the interview appointment letter to perform the medical. I guess I’m just confused on what to do next? I have no idea how to schedule her interview and the embassy I’m guessing doesn’t have our case yet, thanks everyone.

Note: The electronic submission of your DS-160 application is the FIRST STEP of the visa application process. The next step is to read the website of the embassy or consulate embassy or consulate where you plan to apply for your visa. Most visa applicants will have to schedule an interview for this, although some applicants may qualify for visa renewal. The embassy or consulate information of the embassy or consulate may contain specific instructions of the place regarding the scheduling of interviews, submit your visa application and other frequently asked questions.
You must present [Take with you] the confirmation page and the following documents during the entire visa process: Passport; Evidence of Form I-129F approved
You may also provide additional documents that you consider important in support of your interview

Remember awhile back I gave you links to the information for your interview and I stated I didn't have all of it including the P3. Well I just followed one of the links and guess what I found the answer to your question. Because it's Christmas day and I feel generous, I'm going to give you the answer. Of course you could have done the research and found bit quicker but I think you are busy with all the excitement of being in Bolivia and having quality time with your fiancé that you just are in the "vacation mode".

Approx. Waiting Time for Interview After Consulate Receives NVC Package: Approximately 4 weeks

There you have your answer. Good luck and enjoy your time together.

PS. Why are you "guessing that the embassy doesn't have your case yet?" Have you heard from anyone here in this thread speak of ceac.state.gov that you enter "immigrant" and your case number and the result will be the status of your file. If you are not familiar or you need more information, I invite you to visit the first page of this thread and on the first post go to #8 and # 9. I took the curtesy of including it so I wouldn't have to repeat myself but I guess that idea just went up in smoke.

Should be we concerned that we have not received a P3 email from the embassy yet? They received our case on December 12th. We actually have a copy from friends who recently went through this so already have everything we need, DS160 submitted, interview scheduled for January 15, and he's having his medical tomorrow.
