I do not believe petitions are transferred to the U.S. Consulate in Guangzhou by DHL, and maybe not on the same every-2-weeks schedule.  I watched the DHL tracker closely, but never once did I see a single shipment from the NVC to China.  Shipments were going out everywhere else, but nothing has showed up on DHL for China at all.

If you leave the country blank on the DHL search tool, you can see all the shipments.  This will give you a decent idea that the search variables are entered correctly, and that DHL has the packages entered into their system.

My status changed to "In Transit" a couple days after the bulk shipment, then changed to "Ready" a few days later.

We're still waiting <lies>patiently</lies> for the P3, which the beneficiary should receive via EMS.

Thank you for this.  My status randomly changed to Ready!!  Also, my fiance joined your wechat group.  Thank you for that.

No. The case needs to be set to "ready" before you schedule the appointment. You can complete the DS-160, pay the interview fee and once you have the hard copy of your case number from NVC then you can book the interview, complete the medical and also CFO.

Hey Greenbaum sorry to ask this, but when you said “hard copy of your case number from NVC” you meant NVC will email the petitioner a letter (or mail idk) or you meant something else? Someone said we get a letter after we book our interview and that’s the one you need for medical, hehe, but I didn’t know we also need one from NVC to be able to schedule my interview. I was just a little confused :)

As of now, my case is still at NVC and my fiance called them on Dec 7 which was when they gave us the case number, we’ve been waiting since then. We’re waiting until it’s ‘in transit’ to fill out DS 160 and I-134 tbh and then finally schedule the interview after it changes to ‘ready’. So if it changes to ‘ready’ and we don’t get any NVC letter in the mail, am I supposed to contact them and ask for one? Thanks a lot for your help sir ^^

He/she have to have green card first before traveling outside the USA or there is something called advance parole but it's not guarantee for reentry.

Once you schedule your appointment you will have a confirmation page that you print from the website. Now you have both documents required each step of the way.

Thanks a lot for your help sir ^^ Yes you can contact them and ask that a copy be sent as you have never received a copy.  Use the links below and also, go over to the sub-forum for Brazil and there are a lot of experts their that can answer these specific questions. I can get you from NOA2 to your Embassy but after that I'm not up to every single embassy and what their requirements are, that I have to depend on you to do the heavy lifting. Good luck.

You should become familiar with your country's sub-forum here on VJ to get a better understanding of the process for the Embassy that you will be interviewing with. This will allow you to get direct answers from those who have completed the steps you are about to take at the US Embassy - Brazil.  Sub-forum for Brazil is located here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/96-mexico-latin-south-america/

This is the Packet 3 (P3) letter from your Embassy.

Sorry, I do not have one from Yerevan. If you find or receive one can you share it with me so I can pass it along to others who are coming behind you? Thanks.
