They send the cases every other week via DHL. Next shipments go out next week but with Christmas day being a holiday, we are not sure which day they will leave for your embassy. Check ceac.state.gov with your case number and using "immigrant" as your visa type. That website is pretty accurate as to the status of your case.

Can I fill in DC 160 from the USA instead of my bride?

I recommend that you both work on it together. Once it is completed the petitioner should read through the form making 100% that his/her information is correct. Then save it and provide the beneficiary the information to open the form on their end and they then go through the document to ensure dates and names are spelled correctly. Then the beneficiary will submit the document and PRINT off the confirmation page with the barcode. That's what you will bring to the interview and present to the CO.

I would assume you could. I filled out my gals DS 160 when I was visiting her. We just never submitted it but saved it to the desktop so when it comes time for her to submit then I can just upload it and recheck it and then she can sign on, recheck and then hit submit from her end.

Signature. The Form DS-160 shall be signed electronically [by the beneficiary] by clicking the box designated "Sign Application" in the certification section of the application. This electronic signature attests to the applicant's familiarity with and intent to be bound by all statements in the NIV application under penalty of perjury. Alternatively, except as provided in paragraph (a)(2) of this section, the Form DS-156 shall be signed by the applicant, with intent to be bound by all statement in the NIV application under penalty of perjury.

Editor's note: Since the DS-160 is all about the beneficiary, then they are required to be the one to electronically sign the form because they are "bound by all statements" within the DS-160.

Hello guys,

So I checked today on the NVC website to track the visa status and now it shows READY.

What is that mean? It means your case is ready for your interview.

What should I do next? Contact your embassy for the Packet 3 (P3) letter which describes all the documents and procedures needed to complete your interview. Also, check their website as it can be posted there.

Help please.

This might be better asked under the China forum, and I've posted the question there, because I'm curious too:

Some steps, eg. the Medical Exam require a "visa interview letter" or an "NVC Interview Letter" (I don't really know what these are):

See this document.

After u book your interview, system will generate your interview letter online, u can choose to send mail to you so that you can print it from your mail or online system, I've printed it

You must complete some items in from the P3 letter for China. You send those documents back and then you are allowed to schedule your interview to begin the process.

I check my status and saw only that case at NVC.

As I have stated they send every other week. The last shipment to the embassies was last week. Next shipment, if they hold true to their pattern, will be next week. Normally they leave on Tuesday but Tues is a holiday so we do not at this time know which day they will ship again. This is based on their timetable not yours. Just need some more patience. Continue to monitor your status at ceac.state.gov. There will probably be no movement till next week.

Will this take long time to response? I updated it like 3-4 dayd ago bit haven't heard from them yet?

I have emailed them three times.  They took 2 times a week to responds and then third time they never responded.  I find calling the NVC seems to be the quickest to get things updated or questions.

You'll have to read over the instructions to receive that answer.
