This is what I thought also but since the embassy told me this I figured it was correct but nobody here I know of atleast has mentioned this type of interview scheduling, the frustrating part is I had asked how I schedule my interview so when I had my case number I could go ahead and do this thinking the embassy would give me a link to check for available dates but I was stopped dead in my tracks when the embassy said the NVC would schedule my fiancé interview.

thanks Dave

K-1's schedule their own interviews. That is for every embassy. No embassy is an exception.

It has been posted here in this thread a number of times. Please start reading the entries from the last time you were here to the current spot. This is way you don't miss important information.

Case files are shipped to the Embassies every other week. Next shipment is scheduled to leave 12-11 and 12-12. They always leave on a Tues/Wed unless of course they change what they have been doing consistently for the past 4 months.

So does that mean that because the case number was assigned today  12/6, it will make the 12/11 or 12/12 shipment, and can you guarantee that? If it is not made in those shipments - the next batch then falls on 12/25 and 12/26. You think they will be shipping on Christmas?
i have read and seen that the batches ship every other week. No need to be patronizing.

Most likely and nobody can.

I may be wrong but I know that Cubans will interview in Guyana Embassy so I would imagine that they do it like you. Do you schedule your own or does the Embassy schedule for you?

Yes I was serious because you sounded condescending in the prior post and you still are sounding so on this post. I already knew the answer because yes, i read the prior posts you made regarding the bi-weekly schedule. I was posting a general statement due to it being the holidays. They received the case 11/21, did not assign a case number til 12/6 - does not mean it will make the batch sent out 12/11 or 12/12.
I put my dates down so others have an idea of how long it took. Some are faster, some are slower.

Hello everyone! Just got our case number a month after our NOA2. My question is can I print my DS160 already since I already have my case number because that’s the only thing we’ve waited to complete that or do I need to wait till I have everything’s ready? TIA

My fiance called NVC today at 7 pm (EST) and we got our case number. He was put on hold for 10 minutes.

NOA2 - 11/05/2018
NVC Received -  11/19/2018

Case number assigned - 12/03/2018

In Indonesia we can book the medical check up using case number then we have to wait until the embassy sends email to the beneficiary before we can schedule the interview (reply their email and ask for the interview date that they will provide).

Don't lose hope to those who are still waiting, keep calling at least once a week. We have called them twice before they gave us case number and been told to wait 8 weeks though 😅
