Hello everyone,

Thank you so much for your help.

I selected "immigrant" and it worked for me.  But it showed me this :

Please follow the instructions you received from the National Visa Center (NVC) that list the six steps you must take before NVC can schedule your visa interview appointment. This includes submitting to NVC various fees, forms and documents. Once NVC has received all the required items, they will let you know if anything is missing or incomplete. You can also find these instructions online at http://nvc.state.gov (English) and http://nvc.state.gov/espanol (Spanish). You will find contact information for NVC at http://nvc.state.gov/ask.

Should I worry about these 6 steps now?  Does anyone know what these

6 steps are?

Thank you again and have a good day,

Chris

That information is for a CR-1 visa which technically is a immigrant visa. You are a K-1 and will ignore that as it is a "boiler plate" response to "immigrant" visa's which for now you are but you aren't. Have we confused you yet? :jest:

From here on I'll need as much help as possible, USCIS already took all my neurones waiting for NOA 2 and I'm not functioning the right way.

Keep in mind that a forum like this one is for initial bonding with others who are along the same timeline as you for initial processing. The initial application is the same no matter where in the world you are. But, having said that, once you get your approval (NOA2 text message or email), you should also check in with your country's sub-forum to get a better understanding of the process for the Embassy that you will be interviewing with, and to get direct answers from those who have completed the steps you are about to at the US Embassy - Juarez Mexico.

Get the Juarez K1 Embassy instructions at http://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/K1/CDJ%20-%20Ciudad%20Juarez.pdf (Spanish) https://drive.google.com/file/d/1cBWgGJr4a5ay3b4OV28_dC3pgf63ZUr-/view?usp=sharing (English) as this is your bible needed to complete and receive your visa. The required documents are included and use this website as a checklist. Once you have completed or gathered the required documents you'll be ready for your interview.

Last but not least, READ the pages on the US Embassy website for you country so that you are up to speed.

When you quote someone's post and it contains a large graphic there isn't any need to repeat it again as it makes reading the thread that much more difficult. Easy solution is to click on the graphic and hit your delete button. You'll only be left with the poster's text that you can respond to. Most will see the original post with the graphic and can follow your post that much easier. Thanks.

Or another way is to use the "@" feature. Just type the "@" sign and a box will pop up and you keep typing the nik till you see the person that you want to respond to. It will look like this @emm21717. This is the final form @emm21717.

Just passing along a little tips to help you and the rest of us navigate through VJ.

Do I have to wait for my case to be READY on ceac site before filling ds160 and pay fee for interview? That's where I'm confused and stuck. I'm not sure where to check status, I tried at ceac case tracker site and it says my case number is not valid.

Thanks so much again! @Greenbaum
