One more question guys, when I have my case number and do the DS160 and complete it, can I at that point schedule the interview? I believe on the CEAC websites your case has to say ‘Ready’ before you can schedule an interview is this correct?

thanks

Thank goodness I’m now in this thread! I was told today by two different USCIS employees I was approved yesterday. I haven’t got an email, text or a hard copy yet but I’m pretty sure we are approved!

Congratulations, I've beeen seen you around for sometime now, glad you've got your approval

I'm not sure for your Embassy. I usually have a Packet 3 letter from your Embassy but I do not. But what I can do is list the basic items needed for the interview. When you get the P3 letter from your Embassy, could you scan a copy and attach it to a PM here on VJ. Thanks.

Completed Form DS-160, Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application. You (and any eligible children applying for K-2 visas) must: (1) complete Form DS-160 and (2) print the DS-160 confirmation page to bring to your interview.

  • A passport valid for travel to the United States and with a validity date at least six months beyond your intended period of stay in the U.S. (unless country-specific agreements provide exemptions).
  • Divorce or death certificate(s) of any previous spouse(s) for both you and the U.S. citizen sponsor
  • Police certificates from your present country of residence and all countries where you have lived for six months or more since age 16 (Police certificates are also required for accompanying children age 16 or older)
  • Medical examination (vaccinations are optional, see below)
  • Evidence of financial support (Form I-134, Affidavit of Support, may be requested)
  • Two (2) 2x2 photographs. See the required photo format explained in Photograph Requirements
  • Evidence of relationship with your U.S. citizen fiancé(e)
  • Payment of fees, as explained below

Note: The consular officer may ask for additional information, such as photographs and other proof that the relationship with your U.S. citizen fiancé(e) is genuine. Documents in foreign languages, other than the language of the country in which the application takes place, should be translated. Applicants should take to the visa interview clear, legible photocopies of civil documents and translations, such as birth and divorce certificates. Original documents and translations will be returned.

These are only the basic items. Please check with your Embassy Instructions for further requirements. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/list-of-posts-k1-k3-visas.html

There was some information from the VJ Portal for your Embassy but it is a little old but I think most of it is still fresh so you can use it. The page is found here http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Bolivia&cty=La  or select your flag in your profile.

That's insane. 1 month to arrive... wow

And to think we're headed to December a month with SO many festive holidays (Especially in my Country South Africa, because if the holiday is on a Sunday it gets extended to the Monday so you can OBSERVE it. Making long holidays even longer 😂.), interview dates could be booked out , and like the doctors could be on vacation for our medical exams.

Nonetheless still hoping for the best. 🙈

Good day everyone. How long did you wait to get your hardcopy of noa2 from the date of approval? My fiance (petitioner) didn't receive a text or email from uscis, i did. The email directed me to the new website saying that our petition has been approved. Thanks to anyone who answers :)

I’ve missed a bit here! My man leaves to go home tomorrow morning. We haven’t thought of next step while he’s here, it’s been lovely LOL. I’ve completely forgot to update details with NVC so we get emailed but hopefully won’t be too late. I figure we’ll start calling next week... 🤷‍♀️

Update details? Did you get a new email address?
