Trust the process! I am so happy for you. Now until the visa is in your hands and you have looked it over for mistakes, and yes mistakes do happen, don't buy your airline tickets.

I actually ended up buying Anastasia's ticket while we were kind of stuck at non-immigrant Application Received ... but it was a refundable ticket, so it would have been okay if she hadn't received her passport back in time or there were problems with her visa packet (which there weren't; she got them today). But that's due to Aeroflot's pricing structure on the flight we wanted (if you wanted to pick your seat and get a second checked bag, a Flex ticket -- aka refundable -- was cheaper than a regular economy ticket).

Today is a big day for some as your case file may ship out to your embassy. Check CEAC for updated progress and look for "in transit"!! If that shows you are on your way. Also, for those who want to have a little fun in tracking your shipment see the DHL hack on the first page of this thread in the first post. Scroll down about 3/4 of the way for instructions. Good luck.

Hi @Greenbaum. After many months of waiting (our packet left NVC for the US Embassy in Chile on Dec. 12), we finally have an interview scheduled for the third week of March in Santiago. It took three months to get an interview for early March, then we got an email pushing it back due to "unforeseen circumstances." Finally we are down to two weeks! My fiancé had his medical yesterday, all good there. One question though: are biometrics required for all countries at this stage? The Chile packet with the requirements (which detailed exactly what we needed for both the medical and the interview) did not mention biometrics anywhere. We have everything else ready, but are confused about no mention of biometrics. Hope you can shed some light on this.

Biometrics for the beneficiary, if not outlined in the P3 requirements are taken at the day of the interview within the embassy confines.  Otherwise, follow the directions from the P3.

Thank you @Greenbaum!! You're a beacon of knowledge. 4+ months after our packet arrived to the Chilean Embassy, we are finally t-minus two weeks to the interview.

Good luck/Mucho ánimo to those of us stragglers still waiting for a date or their visa to be issued. We're almost there ❤️

This has nothing to do with the Embassy and your interview. This is for "LOCAL" USCIS offices and they have no impact what-so-ever on the K-1 process. So rest assured the "SKY IS NOT FALLING".

CEAC status "Issued" .. I'm so thankful for the smooth and success of my visa interview at US Embassy Manila... So Thankful to the Consul who interviewed me, he did not ask so many questions , based on our files he only based without asking me to show documents and gave me Imbra pamphlet.. To God Be The Glory ... In God We really Trust! ;)
