NVC approved

I got a message saying "The request to add (NAME)as a sponsor has been approved."

Does this mean the request of adding a sponsor was approved or they actually approved the sponsor so i don't have to worry about that part. i haven't submitted everything yet, left with police report. And i got this right after submitting so i feel it's too soon for an approval and i don't want to misinterpret it.

Sure, don't misinterpret it. The added (NAME) is what has been approved and not the entire civil document section. You would have to submit the Police report which is a key document anyway. Wishing you all the best with your brothers journey.

I think you are referring to add joint sponsor or Household member, you still need to submit all AOS docs to NVC.
