Passport held, no slip given, no news in 10 days

Hi!

I had my visa interview on Oct. 16 at the US embassy in New Delhi. After asking me several questions, the Consular Officer gave me the brochure that explains my rights as a worker in the US. He took my passport and said it should take 1-2 weeks or even less. It’s been over 10 days and there has been no update on my case. I wrote to us visa customer service asking the status and they wrote back saying the embassy is processing my visa and to kindly wait. I don’t know what to think as I haven’t been contacted for more information. Has anyone gone through a similar situation? Is my case considered administrative processing even if the officer didn’t use those words? Thank you!
