Form I-797 letter late....

Hi everyone, 

My husband submitted his I-751 packet in September and received email notification on September 21 that it was received. The email said, "Within 7-10 days by standard mail you will receive your official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) with your Receipt Number." However, it has now been over a month and we have not received the letter. 

 

When checking his case status online, it says "We mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice." 

 

Has anyone else had this problem? Is the current letter-mailing process delayed?

Hi there,

 

There is a separate thread for all September 2018 filers located here:

 

You'll be able to see that many people have not received them yet, a few of us have called the call center and were notified that they were sent out on the 22nd and have started to see them being delivered as of today.

 

If you do not see it within the next few day's I'd recommend calling them - note that your husband has to be present on the call for them to share any information.
