Today, I went to a Massachusetts RMV to apply for leaner's permit. I had everything except my current status, that was the reason that my application was rejected. I came here as international student more than two years ago, and last year I got married with my wife who is a US citizen and have applied for permanent resident. Recently, I got my work permit with code C09. I showed this EAD card, but that lady said that the C09 code is a pending status, so she can't give me the test.

Does anyone know about this? Is what she said true?
