I don't mean to spam this thread, but the shipment just updated to saying "in transit"...safe to say it'll actually be in Toronto by tomorrow?

It could be! Maybe the delays at Montreal already cleared up. Though mine was in transit for 2 days(limbo) before transitioning to “check delivery process” then back to in transit again.

Thanks for the continued updates... My interview just a day after you two who got tracking numbers today so hoping for the best...

I got a tracking number today.

The last movement I saw was it said "item processed" in Montreal, which I assume means the sorting facility.

When i called Canadapost today the agent on the phone said that if it can get through Montreal quickly then I likely will have it in a couple of days.

Thank you for the update :) I'm guessing that you'll have it by this week, or at least hoping you will anyways!

So frustrating... couldn't sleep all night in anticipation of getting tracking number. Looks like we might have missed the cut-off date for today since it sounds like people got their tracking number and email from the consulate first thing in the morning. And because of this stupid mourning day tomorrow, no activity is going to happen until Thursday which means I won't be seeing my passport this week. Just a never ending roller coaster ride.

This is unbelievable! One thing after another. I’m so sorry for you. As if this process isn’t trying enough, they add the postal strike, the new police certificate and now a day of mourning where federal offices are closed... ugh

Thanks for the empathy.... Just sitting around in Vancouver jumping from one friend's house to another waiting for this alleged passport to even get shipped out, can't even wrap things up until I get it back since there's no saying what they decide to pull out of their you know what next. Probably will end up having to change all my family plans for December. Really fed up with it, my patience ended a long time ago with all the government agencies involved in this joke they call a process.

Hey everyone!

update on my canadapost experience.

i got the tracking number yesterday morning by email. I called the Canadapost customer service line and told them that it was my passport. They flagged it as an important document (apparently they have a procedure for it). I received it today in the Vancouver area around 12:30 PM Pacific Time.

The phone Number I called was 1-866-607-6301. I don’t remember the menu options but it was pretty self explanatory.

Hope that helps someone and you all get your passports soon!

every time i call canada post they tell me any inquiry has to come from the US consulate . I emailed the consulate and they are absolutely no help. "Your package isn't missing" "have u tried picking your passport up at the postal office its supposed to be delivered to?"

My package has been delayed. It has reached Calgary but keeps getting delayed, now until the 10th of December. I called this morning to ask about any possibility to expedite this and she said they can't, however it WILL be delivered on the 10th - she said for sure. Works for me as I'm not planning on crossing the border until the 24th but still quite frustrating as it's sitting in Calgary and I'm only 2 hours away. Wish I could just drive up there and pick it up...

Sorry if I asked this before, but did you pay for home delivery or Canada Post pick up?
