travel on Ext.letter second time

Hello to all VJ members.

I came US on CR-1 visa  28nd Jan, 2016

filed ROC in NOv 2017, and my Ext. letter expired in 28th Jan 2019

yet not received 10 year GC or 18 months Ext.letter.

 

due to my father health is not good so i want to see him in India, my home country.

i want to go in this Nov last week  for six or seven week and come back before my Ext.letter expired.

its possible for me? any other question or probelm to come  back US?

or till , I  wait for my 10 year GC or 18 month Ext.letter.

 

please advice. thanks

Schedule an InfoPass & get an I-551 stamp in your passport.

--> No need to. The letter is fine. If you really want something else, make an infopass appointment at your local USCIS office to get I-551 stamp. Make sure to print airplanes tickets to show dates when you leave and return. You are fine. Go see your father. Don't worry.

Either get a 551 stamp in your passport, or make sure you return BEFORE the extension letter expires......good journeys..

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..
