Has anyone used Priceline.com for flights?

Are they trustworthy? Thinking of booking my flight through them as they're the cheapest but worried that it doesn't include checked baggage. I tried to talk to them but they referred me to the airline, who said economy should come with a bag but that they're unsure as the price on priceline is like $300 cheaper than what they'd give me a ticket for..... :/ Help!

I use Priceline all the time. It’s a legitimate website. I even have their credit card  with William Shatner as the Priceline Negotiator on it. 

 

In my experience, most international flights allow you to check at least one piece of luggage for free, most of the time 2. Their advice is correct, you have to check the airline’s website to see their luggage policy. Just Google for example “American Airline checked luggage policy” or something.

I called the airline and she said economy has 1 bag, but she worried me when she said they couldn't possibly be that cheap... I guess I'll book it, I have 24 hours to cancel it, so they say!

Go for it. If it goes through, you’re good. You do habe 24 hours to cancel for free.

Yes, the price is very likely to be correct. Contract and CAT35 fares are often several hundred dollars cheaper than published fares. I work for an airline in contract fare negotiating.
