Applying for AOS without SSN

I waited until after my wedding to apply for SSN so that I could have my married name on it. So right now I am putting everything together for AOS and EAD and I am prolly going to hit the SSN office on monday, but I doubt I would have my SSN in hand before I mail the package.

Does it change anything if I put "none" when they ask for SSN on the forms ? Or should I wait. I'd rather mail it ASAP to be in line.

No you dont need a SSN to apply for AOS.... just put None..

NO SSN is not required for AOS can just write NONE there.

Again only the US citizen should have SSN. It is not needed of the foreign fiancee.

in NY:

Proof of Age and Identity

A person is required to establish proof of age and identity by submitting to the issuing clerk one of the following age related documents:

1. Birth Certificate

2. Baptismal record

3. Naturalization record

4. Census record

And one of the following identity related documents:

1. Driver's license

2. Passport

3. Employment picture ID

4. Immigration record

Depends on the state. I'm the Canadian and we married in VA. No SSN required for me. Actually, they didn't even ask either of us for ID...

All I needed was my passport with my visa in it cause im a foreign! They only asked for his. I got married in Michigan.
