If wait times for visas were not so long, fewer aliens would be trying to enter illegally. Still from what I have seen of the convoys, few of them could afford the visa fee and medical costs to qualify.

Trust me, they can afford the fees and medical. The coyotes they pay are far more expensive, around $7000. They just don’t want to go they the process is my guess.

Looking at Nebraska Service Center's delay, I don't expect to see my wife's NOA2 until 5 months or more down the road. But I still check her email every day just in case there's some news.

As much as I hate to say it, you are probably right. Processing times are slowing down, I went from expeting an early April to June approval. I guess I will take it one day at a time and wait. I think I will be approved quickly because its my second time around and have nearly 10 years of marriage. A guy in the September thread PMed me that he belives that's why he got approved so quickly too. He is the only spetember filer approved so far with a PD of 09/10.

Hello everyone,

Looks like we are slowly getting closer to approvals, this processes is very long and we are almost through the first part. From what I have experienced in the past and have read, the NVC phase is rather quick. It depends a lot on us the petitioners and beneficiaries to submit the documents and pay the bills quickly. I am estimating a 1.5 to 3 month timeline to approval after the case and invoice numbers are received. Hope everyone is doing good, right now the best thing we all do is gather our IV and AOS documents. Ask away if you need help gathering the documents.

Update for Texas Service Center (SRC):

1) The first few august approvals are done! USCIS is currently approving the remaining July petitions and is moving on to August.

2) One Spetember (non-expeditated) is done! The couple has been married for over 12 years and has gone through the process before.

Thanks for the update!  I’m starting to calm my nerves now.  I’m going to visit my husband in May, is there anything besides pics that I need to be getting from him while I’m there?  Also, based on the stats here or anywhere, do you estimate a case complete by August? With interview date in October?

I know it’s all dependent on how fast embassy is and a lot of other things. That’s the time frame I have based on my research. Just want to see if someone else is seeing the same thing.

I am seeing our (Texas SC) I-130 petitions approved late-May, early-June. The problem is how fast our case numbers are assigned by NVC, I believe they are currently taking 6 to 8 weeks. The means that we will really start the NVC stage mid-July, early-August. The NVC stage really depends on how fast the documents are sent in or uploaded to CAES and the IV & AOS bills are paid. It is important to have all the documents ready to go. A lot of people lose valuable time at this stage. Below is the timeline I have estimated:

Approved I-130: Late-May/Early-June

NVC Case & Invoice Numbers Assigned: Mid-July/Early-August

NVC CC: Late-August/Early-September

Appointment: October (My embassy regularly schedules almost 1 month out, look up timelines of your embassy/consualte to get an accurate timeline)

Ok that’s the time I figured, thanks. Do you know how long the consulate in Ankara, Turkey is taking for scheduling?
