Hi. My husband is in Turkey, he has permanent residency there but he will be traveling soon to his country within the next few weeks and won’t return back to Turkey until maybe September. He is getting his police certificate from Turkey this week before traveling.  He states that the police certificate will only be good for 6 months. He also has to get police certificate from his other country. Based on being an October filer with Texas service center, do you think if he gets police certificate from now that it should be valid by next 6 months when we get to NVC stage??? I’ve read that it takes 4 days eels to get to NVC and 7-8 weeks after.

Close call, who knows how much longer we have at this stage still. Then add a couple months for the NVC stage. I read somewhere that documents are valid for one year, but can't remember where I saw that info.

PCC can expire at 6 months, but NVC/Embassy will accept up to 1 year, since this is visa process they will accept up to 1 year. I would still verify with NVC just in case.

Yeah - Nebraska is really running behind. Wonder how they are deciding what petition goes to what service center. Or maybe Nebraskans just take their time doing government work. Could be other reasons not politically correct to mention.... But good luck with yours! I hope it comes out favorably and soon for you!

Hello all

First time to post here

AOS, married to USC:

10/11/18 - PD
11/14/18 - biometrics completed
11/15/18 - RFE
12/06/18 - USCIS received our response for RFE
12/26/18 - EAD received via mail
3/11/19 - case tracker changed to “WE SCHEDULED YOUR INTERVIEW” for I-485

Please see attached screenshot.

Is this finally our interview?
Just wondering why it’s written there to bring “Your Green Card” when this interview is for the green card?

Anyone who had the same notice via case tracker?

I can’t wait to receive the notice via mail.

Good luck to all of us
