Hello allll! I just got an email that our case was approved! This is what you refer to as NoA 2 right? I have informed my lawyer and waiting for her to tell me what are our next steps. We are applying for my husband from Cairo, Egypt. Can anyone tell me what are the next steps and what are the usual estimates of time till we move forward?

Congrats to all who have been approved!

Are there any other October 2018 filers through Nebraska who haven’t received NOA2 or any updates yet?

Both MyUSCIS and egov still say “Case was received” for us and it seems like a lot of November 2018 people are already being approved.

I wish I would have known about the I129F months ago, but I just found out about it. :(

I was checking case status and it says that on October 31 my case was sent to the Department of State. My lawyer never sent me any updates. Does this mean she hasnt gotten the new notice yet? She’s very unhelpful and takes forever to reply but we’re stuck with her at this point. Any guidance would be appreciated.

My lawyer is in the USA. My wife and I are in Brazil. My I-130 was approved Oct. 4 and we received the letter on Oct. 20. I informed my lawyer, which I cannot recommend at this point, by email that we had received the approval. She emailed me back with Ds-260 and I-864 questionnaires to fill out saying they only received the notification a few days earlier which is unlikely. The only paperwork we need to arrange at this point is my wife's passport in order to proceed.

Good luck with your lawyer.
