Mid-feb filer here. Our case too got sent to TSC. Called USCIS the other day and they said they won't be processing our case till December😭 any chance it could happen sooner? And how accurate are the estimated dates on VJ? Because for me it says October-ish😭

February of this year? If it’s this year that yes u have a little bit more of a wait.

VJ is just an estimate based on how other people are filing in their timelines with any approval dates. If you filed feb of this year and it’s at Texas service center, than yes, I’m assuming October for you sounds about right. I filed October 9,2018 and still waiting on noa2😩

Thanks for this update. I feel a little better (I think lol). Yes I have the case tracker app and I check it multiple times per day 😩. On Facebook I see soo many approvals for October and November and even December from Texas so I was wondering if something was wrong. It’s been 250 today for me (8 months going on 9).

Thanks for letting me know about the slow week. Hopefully this week will be good news. I’m past the patiently waiting stage at this point and it’s sad when u have no choice.

Ugh I know that feeling exactly. I'm sorry you're going through it too :( We racked our brains trying to think of anything that could be slowing down our case and ultimately settled on either bad luck or one of our names is common enough that it triggered a name check. We're at 268 days and I've only just been able to let go a bit and not check as constantly as I was. I never thought I would be able to relax about it but here I am haha. I'm sure the anxiety will rear it's head again soon but for now it's nice to not be constantly stressed for the first time in 9 months.

It's USCIS case tracker but it's unfortunately no longer available on the app store :(

Very happy for you :) :)

How long it took for your case to reach NVC and how long for case creation?

My case was received by NVC 2 weeks after NOA2 and then Case number was assigned 4 weeks later. It was sent to the emails listed on I-130 and I-130a.

This is your second I-130 right? Did that come up in the interview? And how did the medical go - new vaccinations, blood tests, and did it take a couple of days for the results before the interview?  Thanks in advance.

It being late October, and no October filers for 2018 found on the site,  so I started this one. I am a USC living in Brazil and petitioning for my Brazilian wife of 30 years.  It's complicated, but the basics are that I am are applying for a resident visa for my wife for the second time, the first being granted in 1989 after our marriage in Texas in 1988. We lost the visa in 2014 in part because of my ignorance of immigration rules and because of family medical situations in Brazil that prevented my wife from traveling.  In 1989 the procedure was very simple. Today it's become 10x more complicated due to 9/11. Since we both live outside the USA we are using a state-side lawyer to be sure all paperwork is as correct as possible. Turns out I would have submitted my I-130 in March, but due to using a lawyer, it was only submitted in October. I hope that at least it goes through without a hitch. On one hand she already has a SSN and it was necessary to include her old Resident Visa  ID# on the application. Don't know if this will delay or speed up the process. Based on Oct 2017 filers, we might be looking at a long year ahead of us.

10/05/2018  I-130 sent

10/08/2018  I-130 received Chicago Lockbox

I am also in nabraska office and my priority date is October 24,2018. As of 7 months and 3 weeks still waiting on a approval. Good luck to everyone!

Yes, this is our second time through this process, so it was relatively easy. They did mention her previous residence and tourists visas. The medical was fast, we actually took our results from 7 years ago and the doctor reviewed and ask why we are going through the process again. The vaccines were all in order. We did labs (blood work and x-rays) on Wednesday morning, medical on Wednesday afternoon, and picked up results on Thursady just after noon. We did fingerprints on Saturday morning and had interview on Monday morning.
