Within 8 Weeks to get the case created

1 Week for payments

X days to submit/upload all your stuff

3 Week for NVC to review (they say its 3, but sometimes it takes more)

If there is no issue with any of the docs, you'll be placed in queue for interview. Which can take however long..  depending on the consulate.

So you're looking at roughly ~12 weeks at NVC. I hope this helps.

After the interview approval, how long before my spouse can immigrate here?

As soon as your spouse receives his/her visa they can travel anytime, it usually takes time to arrange things though, I would think

I saw that Nebraska move dates back from August to May....who know why? It's about four months more...

This is so frustrating... it definitely jumped backwards for some reason, I was starting to get excited and boom... take an extra 4 months grrrrrr no idea why.

I do have one question....

why does the Nabraska service center have a longer processing time for US citizens filing, than residents filing for spouse when all the other centres it’s general faster?

Have they suddenly had a massive influx of citizens filing for partners that would result in the it being pushed back from August to May making it longer for citizens for all those who filed?

this is getting frustrating 🤷‍♀️
