i saw this on the Guardian where as might have been expected it had been twisted into a anti Trump meme, but seems a common issue here, spouses etc with drug trafficking charges.

Drug Trafficking is a no no for US Immigration.

Has to be.  He sold MJ, paid a fine and did his time in CA, and was later pardoned.  Then he worked with the CIA and was able to obtain TS clearance.

 

Now he's busted trying to register a vehicle?  And is being moved around different jails?

He was convicted in Canada of dealing.

 

Seemed to be doing the express route to immigrate to the US and his criminal history was picked up.

 

No idea if it was of consequence for his Canadian military career, certainly is as far as US immigration is concerned.

This statement kinda gives it away. The press does it all the time. Remember "gentle Giant gunned down by police officer"

Ahhh, gotcha.  I missed that part.  So... much ado about nothing.
